Have a Falcon II outdoor that I am trying to dispose of. A few issues like 1 bad head and a possible blown head fuse. Has anyone ever had better luck parting out vs. selling a whole unit? I just don't see much value in this thing other than a getting credit from Mutoh on a new purchase.

okay. So, I did a little bit of mcgyvering, and was able to pull back the prong with a hanger. I just upgraded back to 2.17. Why would the colors change between both firmwares? perhaps i downloaded the wrong one?

Are the drawings color or in black and white? You should be able to make some margin if they are in color. We offer blueprinting services here. We own 2 KIP blueprint plotters and use our HP 5000 to print all our color drawings.

I did notice that the board that the ribbons connect to (the one that moves along the rail) was pretty filthy. That could have contributed to the issue as well. I ended up cleaning it with alcohol.

Replaced ribbons and dampers today. Seemed to do the trick. Now I'm getting an issue with my bi-directional setting prints not giving me any straight lines at all to choose from. I guess that's whole other topic post
