  1. Remote Access

I use GoToMyPC, which may be owned by LogMeIn, I'm not sure. I started using it a few years ago when it was $69 a year and then it went to $99 and the next year it went to almost $500! So I called to cancel and they gave it to me for the old price, now each year when I get the bill, I call them...
  2. Time for my morning rant. Terminology!

If you look in any of your sign supply catalogs, you will see that all the materials are listed WxH
  3. MBX Electric Vinyl Zapper - Eraser Question

The Zapper wheels are rather expensive, I just use these with a cordless drill: https://www.amazon.com/Rubber-Eraser-Wheel-Adapter-1-Pack/dp/B00HZ4ABKS/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=eraser+wheel&qid=1585332691&sr=8-5 They are OK when you really need them but I would never try to do 176 vehicles with and...
  4. Channe letter wiring running through expansion joints

I think your best option would be to form some aluminum components to join the domino and the D at the top, where they are closest together. This would be only a small 1x1 channel painted the color of the building, which would then technically become part of the channel letter assembly and you...
  5. Need Help Relief for Channel Letter Backs

I believe that a .085 contour offset would give you .085 on all sides for an overall size increase of .17 Same question would go to MikePro regarding his suggestion of 1/8"...would that be an overall total or is that an offset contour for an overall total of 1/4" larger?
  6. Question A serious question..........................

I'm also using Quickbooks v11 so I have similar issues. The basic problem is that QB v11 is not compatible with Windows 10 and really requires an upgrade to a newer version if you hope to use it with a Windows 10 computer. Unfortunately, QB v11 was a great version that still functions perfectly...

Gino, what is the problem? I'll bet someone here could advise you.
  8. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

Once again, the wheels aren't moving forward based on their relationship to the treadmill, be it friction, resistance, wheel speed or whatever....the wheels will move forward because the plane axle is pushing them irregardless of how fast they are spinning or if they are not spinning at all.
  9. Pricing Gold Leaf

Ah ha....I knew it didn't feel right disagreeing with you Bill....apparently I didn't fully comprehend what he intended to do so I retract my statement and I will agree with your pricing....more like double it. Thanks for the explanation!
  10. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

If you forget the plane and everything else and just consider the spinning wheel and the treadmill relationship then no, it would not move if it were spinning at the same rate as the treadmill. However, the wheel in this airplane/treadmill scenario is attached to the axle of the plane which is...
  11. Pricing Gold Leaf

I'm not sure what you mean with "matte centers" if you are doing gold leaf. Are you planning on matte gold vinyl but you are trying to upsell that to gold leaf? All things considered, since this is only the painting and gilding on their door and you are doing all the other work, I would be...
  12. Need Help Anybody know this font?

Here are some options for you: Carnivale Display Caps Beffle or this looks maybe like the one english two line tfb
  13. A plane on a treadmill - physics question

Of course not....if the plane is not moving then there is no forward thrust...then there is no air moving under the wings to create lift...therefore it sits there making a lot of noise and going nowhere, or so you might think... but the reality is that the wheels only allow the plane to roll on...
  14. What's better, screen printing or heat pressing shirts?

I have tried many different materials over the years and what I like to use now as an all-around good material is Express Print from Stahls. I also use their Magic Mask transfer tape for the best result and easiest application. There are a lot of different materials such as special material for...

  17. What paint for PVC?

I really have no idea what material your parents "vinyl" shutters were or what paint was used, I was simply trying to give you an appropriate reply. I don't think there is any correlation between the two things.
  18. What paint for PVC?

The PVC you are questioning is the same material commonly used in the housing industry today as a brand name Azek,, Versatex, Kleer or others. These materials are being painted everywhere with typical housing paints, which carry warranties in the range of 20-25 years, with great success. There...
  19. New to channel letters

You don't need any $75,000 machines to try it. Since you already have a CNC router, at the very least you would need a sheet metal brake, a notcher and possibly a manual channel letter brake of some type, along with some hand tools which you must have already, drill, rivet gun, etc. You could...
