Really great design and execution John. Typically when the supporting structure becomes part of the design element, as you know, zoning will consider it part of the square footage and not allow it...you got lucky with this one and everyone is better off for it!

Hi John! Although we are not using Mathews paint, we have had similar issues with other types of paint and have found that the marks do basically disappear either with time and sun. You should be just fine.
