I thought you sounded over critical but those HP samples are nasty.
We have two 360s and never get grain like that.
If you look super close at greys there's a bit but nothing like that.
We always use the 6460 unless they want matte.
Avery are giving 5 year vertical/3 year horizontal warranty here (zone 2) for what that's worth on the 6460.
You have to be careful what you clean it with is the only thing.
Definitely look at Zund.
We have one.
It's reliable and easy to use.
They say it's designed for 24/7 operation but we haven't put that to the test - yet.
I'm old enough to remember when we had all sorts of tariffs.
Everything cost 3 or 4 times what they do now, but there were lots of jobs for unskilled workers.
I'd go see a demo before shelling out that kind of money.
For through cutting it would probably be fine.
I'm curious what the software is like to use.
Getting our S2 to scan a barcode can at times be hit and miss.
Having done a couple colour change wraps we don't do them in the shop.
As already stated there is too much care required.
Also I did my own car in Avery blue matte metallic and it started going black in six months - in a year it had to be stripped off it was so bad.
All I could think of was what...
"I have a fleet of taxis. Wrap the first two cheap and you can have the other 20!!"
He got offended when I told him EVERYONE SAYS THAT lol.
It's like we don't have enough idiots here already we have to import them.
When we had Rolands we used to crank up the drying heater and lam straight off the printer for flat jobs.
I wouldn't have been so hasty if it was a wrap print though.
That's true. It was quite daunting and I spent a couple of months trying to get my head around it all before I felt ready. But like most software I think you learn fastest by just using it.
Their regular Q&A webinars are a great resource if you have any nagging issues or doubts.
I think it's screwed unless you can heat the whole face and mould it flat.
Sounds like another expensive lesson: don't let inexperienced staff work on expensive products without supervision.
