I don't see the light ink curves. Are you using CMYK or CMYKcm? In the output profile generation setting the black start needs to be set at 25 to 30. I would also test profiles with the black width set to 80 and 60.

I use 25 on the Vac and the Heat at 230 for 10 pass. At 12 pass 220 might be good enough but try 225 first. Because of over-lam adhesion problems you want to be careful and not go too low on the heat.

Well is it? You were complaining about graininess? What are the light ink curves set to in the Linearization file, and the black start set to, and the GCR?

And there in lies his problem. You really don't know how they were created although in some RIPs you can open the linearization files and the profile and see what settings were used.

Did you examine the belt that drives the carriage. That is a known failure point that at some point would probably need replaced.

I know it is slower than most want to print at but do you feel that small text isn’t sharp enough at 18 pass? I have been pretty satisfied with small details at 18 pass.

What is the status of your printheads? Are they relatively new, under warranty or old? They don't look right, way too rough unless it is the media causing this. What media was used for the PH alignments?

I don't normally use those color bars but I do notice when I print banner trim lines where the banner print ends the trim lines beyond that are fuzzy.

Try printing with a confidence strip / color bars at he edges of your print. Not exactly sure what Flexi's term are for those colorbars.
