    If it's happening only every now and then i'd think it's temperature. I've always had problems with tunneling with clear tape so I steered away from it years ago due to this same issue. It's good stuff if you can get it to lay flat. Didn't Rtape make a clear tape referred to as "smellow yellow"...

    Go through and do all the calibrations on the printers menu. Maybe the feed calibration, Could try adjusting that to see if the banding goes away. Banding is a pain but usually is just a simple setting that needs tweaked through the printer menu screen. Try adjusting the heater also.
