You gotta feel the client out sometimes I have found. I've told customers 1/2 hour away I charge half hour of my time which is $40 to come out to the estimate and if the job is a go I'll deduct it from the final invoice and that has worked and other times people get offended by charging for...
I use GotPrint and have for 10+ years with no issues but 365 does a great job also if your customer needs them literally in 3 days or so. Great quality and very rich colors.
Hey guys,
Reaching out for a friend of mine who works at a marketing company that needs 4 cars wrapped this weekend. They had some installers but a medical emergency came up. As far as I know they already have the wraps printed and need them installed. They have a install bay and everything...
Anytime I have a issue with anything from them which is rare but it does happen, I call and ask for Ernie. Ernie always gets things taken care of for me and doesn't give me a run around. I have also talked to Mike I believe and he's done just as good job.
Hey everyone,
I have a back lit sign I'm doing and the customer just changed up the specs a tiny bit and I was wondering a few things.
The change up is so small, a logo area about 12x12" where there's a series of interlocking loops and each are a different color. Originally they were all...
No problems here with them and we do a few dozen orders a month there and are always satisfied. We've maybe had 2 jobs in past year that were messed up but nothing major (color issues) and they always made things right without a hassle.
Ernie there is my main man to talk to!
It will hold as it's holding a backlit sign box 4x4' above this sign currently also.
Quick snap from google street view.
What substrate you guys think would be best and thickness? .080 isn't thick but it has some weight to it...Vendor is telling me 3mm dibond would be fine but I'm not...
Hey everyone, I have an estimate to do on a existing sign structure that had a overhanging sign but the new place that's leasing needs their sign as the old tenants took theirs when they left.
The sign is going to be hung using quick links and I'm debating on what the best substrate that...
Hey guys,
I have a simple question for everyone. What is the general rule of thumb for doing lettering with a outline as far as pricing goes. Do you double the price or just add 50% onto the price to account for the outline?
I'm doing a estimate for a repeat customer and just wanted to see...
I'd be somewhere around $550 per 4x16' board + install if it was cast white vinyl 75% coverage. Install, if it's ground level and you don't need a ladder $60-80 each. My hourly is $80 a hour so I figure 45-60 mins per install. This is for them supplying the substrate also.
If they want 28 I'd...
I've went to home depot before and painted pressure treated posts with 3-4 coats before with a roller with no problems. I see the last set we painted about a year ago everyday and it always looks good as it did the day I did them.
Guess you should wait but I've never had any issues personally.
The customers usually install these because nobody wants to pay for simple installs but if I did install I would pre drill a hole and use a bolt with nut and washer to secure it. Self tapers would work if there were something to drill into but with the fence type mesh that's there you don't have...
Done a few of these, used 3mm ACM like max metal or dibond. Works like a charm. I wouldn't use coroplast anyway because it's perceived cheap and you would get half for one compared to ACM which isn't much more than $30 more a sheet. Max metal is about $40 a sheet from Grimco, dibond of course is...
Good advice everyone, I went out and tried to drop my information off to the commercial sales managers today and not to be rude they seemed cocky and arrogant but I just smiled and carried on. One guy said "usually customers have their own guys that do their fleet graphics". I tried to pitch you...
Hey guys,
Things are deathly slow this year and I really want to expand and get some fleet and commercial accounts and was wondering what are the steps to get into this space? You know fleet truck lettering, window splash graphics, high volume yard signs, pylon sign face replacement in plazas...
Home based blows. Honestly I've been home based for 10 years and just want out at this point. Everything in the second post is pretty on point lol
I'm actually making a post later in regards to being home based and business not going well.
The reason behind having to line item the posts is because it was one of those deals where they wanted just a substrate and now they want posts to put in the ground with the sign. Makes no sense to me but hey, customer is always right, right? lol
