Me and you are the always the ones getting bashed but these are pretty damn good questions. Keep it up my man!
I'd think there would be some sort of "lip" on the end so the sign doesn't slip out.
Again, there isn't a signs for dummies book so you gotta learn somehow!
I haven't taken the job yet or went up there just yet. Something that came in Friday so I was just posting asking while I had some downtime during the weekend. I'll get up there this week myself.
I was wondering myself but didn't want to spend the crazy money so for $200 me and my brother in law built this. 3/4 ply with 3/8 high impact pvc. Not bowing and glides around like a feather
I have a potential customer wanting a flat polycarbonate face where this pan face currently is. Basic question but in all my years doing light boxes I haven't came across any with rounded corners. Just not common in my area.
Does the sign panel have to have rounded also or is it just rounded on...
AMEN to that. Seriously, I'll ask a stupid question to knowledgeable people so I can LEARN. That's what this trade is all about. Making a living LEARNING and getting paid to do so. Nobody knows every damn thing.
Green and tan style sign you have is what I see alot of around here. The one with the actual swan silhouette is my favorite one.
I always wondered how sign guys get the inset shape just right on the sign.
Yep that's why I'm using the 210. Doesn't shrink as much at all. Idc what anyone says, sometimes you gotta do what works instead of following the rules with keeping brands together.
Been using General Forulations Concept 203 (gloss version of 201) for years. It is a printable film so you can use it for wide format printing or standard cut vinyl.
For a laminate I use oracal 210. Together they make a 5.5 mil thick sticker. Works great here for short run stickers in house...
Thanks for the replies everyone. I think I'm going to go 6mm acm and do them in house.
The customer is getting 4 other signs all various sizes going onto their building and or parking lot posts.
No big deal doing them in house I just was trying to work smarter not harder since I am a one man...
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to really bump up work flow with outsourcing as many jobs as possible so I can be out there selling jobs more through Signs 365. Now normally I'd use MDO and seal the edges for example for a hanging sign but no wholesale offers that so for a 2x2 ft hanging sign would...
Same here with the historical crap. It's annoying cause it's a $350 app fee for a variance plus permits plus getting a sign company to pull permits.
My pricing is for my typical permit for a wall or ground sign. I haven't gotten into Electrical signs except face change outs.
I pulled a permit...
$150 if it's the town my shops in or $250 if its county.
Includes renderings with specs, paperwork, drop off and pick up.
Of course if its somewhere not so local travel is added to that.
Hardest thing to get is affidavit, rest for ground and wall signs is easy.
