I guarantee you I could lay coro faster with even my 4" felt squeegee. I'm sorry, it's a cool hobby concept but has no real world value.
I'll enter the contest with just 4" if you guys want ;) even though I'd be with jiarby in real world...be using a Big Squeegee.
So have a nice Canadian client that needs some stuff made, but the best they can get me for their logo is a pic of a decal put on a vehicle years ago.
Sigh
So this is what i'm working with. I can redraw the logo but can't do it without the font. It's too low quality to trace, even the...
Thanks Maniac! And I guess I could've screen captured too, but thanks for putting that up Fred.
Univers and a version of Avant Garde, both close, and was able to move some stuff around to make it work. Appreciate it guys. :)
It is because the "cheapies" are the ones that are hurting this industry. It's a 1-4 ratio here, legit sign shops....and out of the garage hacks who won't last more than 2 years. It's ridiculous. And the more they come and go, and the more they advertise unrealistic cheapy prices, the harder it...
Could've sworn I knew the name, but keep just drawing a blank on this one.
Check this site, just the companies logo. Very basic font (I'd attach but it's a dumb flash site so no copy/paste) http://www.jrfurniture.biz/
Ideas? I'm looking through all my fonts and tried a few buddies, no luck...
I understand that selling banners for a lot more than everyone else won't get you far, but I highly doubt all the sign shops in the area are selling at 4, sorry. I have peeps in town selling $3 a square, and 2 miles away are at $18 a square. It's a variety, a mix. And there's the bottom feeders...
3.5 a square foot for just any run of the mill banner job? Dude I get more than double that. You're killing yourself!
And even though you're in love with the print quality, who cares. a old Sp300 has good enough print quality for 99% of any sign job you'll tackle. If you want to get into fine...
Goes to show, with all we do.... a lil hiccup with mother nature and we can lose it all.
Simply amazing.... prayers go out to those who lost family members in this catastrophe.
Ok baffled....cleaned it up good and layed down some THICK vinyl like I was saying. Feels smooth across there, and yet my cuts are still insanely inconsistent. Like will cut too deep on one part and barely through the laminate on the other part. Did I really just not lay it down well enough or...
Set blade depth, but mistakes happen, forget what media you put in etc. Considering, by my math, I've ran 130,000+ square feet of vinyl through this plotter....no surprise that added up quickly to just decimate my poor cutting strip.
I cut a lottttttt of thick materials. So it's really no surprise.
Hmm, trying 20mil vinyl now instead of the teflon, see how that works. Anyone heard of poor cutting related to the blade spring either?
So if this black stuff is available...where is it available? You sell it Robert? Anyone got any?
If not I'll try a lil putty, super fine sandpaper it down flush, then apply the teflon strip on there but I really don't feel like doing this the redneck way.
