That yellow printing on the right side indicates an electrical issue but I also agree with the guys above that the nozzles also seem to be badly clogged. The cyan seems to be deflecting pretty badly as well. You could try doing some head soaks, and/or manually flush the head with a syringe but...
I'm sure the other guys will have some good insights for you but my first thought is you're using a calendared vinyl on rivets which is always going to tent and look bad. A cast vinyl will do much better and last longer.
If you are seeing air in the lines than the connection between the damper and ink line might be broken. If you didn't change the o-rings when you changed the dampers, that's a good place to start. If you did change them, make sure they didn't roll up inside the nut which can break the seal. You...
As someone who has installed many many printers, this is so right! It never gets easier. Also, the amount of times I've been told there would be no stairs and we show up and there are stairs is way too high.
Mutoh makes it so you have to use the MSA (Mutoh Service Assistant) to replace boards. It has a technician mode that has a Board Replacement Wizard function. That function pulls everything off the old board, installs the firmware on a the new board, and then uploads the old board's information...
It looks like you're missing the adjustment lever. There should be a black plastic lever where your screwdriver is pointing. I'm not 100% sure if turning that screw will do it but that's normally where the lever is. Usually you don't have to loosen anything. You just push or pull the lever until...
Looks like the head slant is out of whack. Did you do the head slant adjustment where it prints black and magenta lines that you can line up using the lever on the right side of the head carriage?
Looks like classic data signal corruption to me. It's usually going to be caused by a bad cable, failing print head, and/or failing main/head signal board. It's possible that it's an encoder issue but you would normally see a stair step pattern in the red part if that was the case. I'd start by...
The official maintenance procedure for that machine wants you to clean that black surface at the end of every day. Most people only do it once or twice a week though. So it is part of the normal maintenance but I can't say that I've seen the black coating come off like that. I assume you're...
We always advise our customers against getting solvent white and every single one who still decided to go with it asked us to switch back after about a year.
I'm sure it's possible to change the chip but that's beyond my expertise. I've had luck with local music equipment shops fixing boards in the past so that might be worth the shot. At the end of the day, the manufacturer would tell you to change the main board.
We've done a bunch of government contracts for printers and run into this a lot. The purchaser knows a guy he wants to buy from so he makes the description of the machine so specific that it could only be one brand. We lost a contract on a printer once because ours had a 3% difference in the...
The limit sensor is a an interrupt sensor on the rail near the docking position. A metal flag sticks out the back of the carriage and interrupts it when it's at the home position. It's possible that sensor or flag got knocked out of place or damaged. You can test it in service mode in the sensor...
