  1. Suggestions Applying acrylic deminsional letters with VHB to a freshly painted wall

How thick are they? Height? Small stuff can go up and be no problem. Anything thicker that 1/4" and taller than maybe 6" I would tell them they aren't going up for 2 weeks so paint cures.
  2. Feedback on Layout

I deleted Brady Bunch font from my computer the day I started here.
  3. Printing On Optically Clear Laminate - Roland VP 540

Yes it is clear, but does have a yellow tint. We'll use it in a pinch, but prefer proper optically clear laminate or clear vinyl.
  4. Recommendation for application tape for vinyl lettering

4075 RLA for everything. Have been using Grimco's Briteline + as well, and am very happy with it. See little difference in the 2, and Briteline is a lot cheaper.
  5. Question Flexi - Measurement Tool - Fractions?

If we'd all just convert to the metric system the world would be a happier place! 28.4 cm is just that.... or 284 mm if you wanna get more techinical!
  6. Question Flexi - Measurement Tool - Fractions?

Nope. It's in decimal only. That's typical of any design or CAD software. Never crossed my mind once in 30 years of computer design to have measurements displayed in fractions.
  7. Flexi Cloud Update SP5 Build 2898

CTRL+M is zoom to all objects as long as I can remember. One of my everyday shortcuts. Color Mixer on or off is just M.
  8. Flexi Cloud Update SP5 Build 2898

Just hit Ctrl+M if it takes you off your art.
  9. Flexi Cloud Update SP5 Build 2898

Man, I wish I hadn't updated. Production Manager is buggy as f*(k. Shuts off randomly, and when I am deleting jobs I am done with, it just goes in to spinning circle mode. I guess I need to reinstall it when I have time. Really messing with my schedule as we're pretty busy.
  10. Just In Product examples/situaions where you WOULDN'T need lamination

Longevity of window decals depends mostly on the vinyl you use, not the ink. I've printed decals that lasted 6-7 years and some that lasted 6 months. All depends on the type of vinyl. If you laminate, then they will last a very long time, again depending on the the vinyl AND laminate type.
  11. What percent do you markup off the shelf parts & retail items on average?

Jewelry stores are typically 4x markup. Your stores like Kay and Jared and the like....some are even more. You would be surprised how cheap all that jewelry really is (manuf. cost).
  12. App tape on wrap graphics?

I wrapped a bunch of vans for Safety Kleen, and they provided the wraps. ALL of them like this. You just have to lay as much flat parts as you can, then when you get to a curve, peel off the tape to expose the vinyl. The nice thing with these was that they had them all cut to shape of doors...
  13. How to turn adhered gloss laminate into matte or satin?

Plot the shape you need and overlay on top of it
  14. Artwork for 3/4 Wrap

Create it? Should take less than an hour.
  15. Need Help How to create smooth graphics to export to Photoshop 7

Not sure I understand....you're saying that you export from Flexi and import to Photoshop and the shapes are jagged? What are you exporting as? You should export as AI or EPS, and when you bring in to Photoshop, be sure you have created a new document in High Resolution (300 dpi or more). Your...
  16. Does anybody run their sign shop without a printer?

Yes. It's great for the economy to keep jobs away from people that need them. :noway:
  17. Car magnets falling off when cold?

THANK YOU! Looks like someone doesn't realize all the hot water lines in their house come from their water heater, and ONE water line runs in to it.
  18. Car magnets falling off when cold?

What is a hot water heater? Why would you heat hot water, if it's already hot?
  19. Template for Mounting A Bunch of Laser Cut Letters

Yes sort of. cut out a strip on site and leave the tops and bottoms showing. Letters are taped on the back leaving space so they don't stick to the paper template. Everyone's talking about studs.....did you even ask about that? That's a different process.
  20. Template for Mounting A Bunch of Laser Cut Letters

Pen plot the template on your plotter. We do that for every dimensional letter job. I assumed everyone else did too....
