  1. Interior Mural

So, i am curious... what does something like that go for? :) Just thought I'd add to the jackassery going on. I do have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and I can do what Jill did. I am just lazy and would print the whole thing and apply wallpaper or vinyl. Its probably WORTH more than...
  2. Another Newbie

Would it be possible - at all - for a newbie to come on here and ask a simple question without one person taking the thread to the dark side? Just once?
  3. Cleaning boards for flatbed printing

Where do you purchase the Jones' stuff from? We have also used 409 with Vinegar on PVC boards. We masked off 12" squares on a sheet of Sintra and took a bag of greasy potato chips and everyone smeared their fingers in each of the squares. We then used everything under the sun to clean...
  4. Cleaning boards for flatbed printing

Why don't you just order 5 gallon drums from Pitman or some other offset printing supplier? WAY cheaper than each bottle from Walmart in the long run
  5. Kudos to CET service/support

He is getting better each day. With all the pain meds they have flowing through him, I don't know how he functions. They took a cool photo before the surgery where you can see the sternum pushing in on his heart and another one post-implant and there is a nice gap there now. He's getting...
  6. Kudos to CET service/support

Thanks, Jack. Appreciate the thoughts. Now we are battling keeping pneumonia from forming. For those interested - the printer issue ended up being a corrupt Onyx printer driver. I never would have thought that would be the issue, but its kinda fun discovering a new potential problem that can...
  7. Kudos to CET service/support

Will try not to make this long. As I write this from my son's hospital room, there are 2 technicians from CET Color at my shop diagnosing and hopefully repairing an imaging issue I encountered on my FK512ZZ UV flatbed. The reason I mention this is because I don't think you would get this type...
  8. Wholesale Printer for .20 Styrene

Find someone with an HP Indigo offset press. Cheap and offset quality. Sheet size should work
  9. Who has one of these?

I have a colleague with the big Rolls Roller and he lets me borrow it for the small mountable stuff that I don't direct print and it is awsesome, but you better have some floor space.
  10. Police SUV (out with the old, in with the new)

Most Supervisor vehicles in law enforcement do not have roof lights, but internal cabin strobes and head and taillamp strobes. They do not respond to first incidents so there is no need for traffic visibility. There are overhead lights in the 3rd picture - different vehicle, though.
  11. Extremely Fast Wide Format

Whatever happened to the Xante 42" printer? Was supposed to go commercial in April...
  12. Printing on Roller Blinds

That oughta look real good when its done.
  13. Printing on Roller Blinds

How you gonna fit 42" wide material into a DTG printer?
  14. Printing on Roller Blinds

Print them with a UV device with flexible inks. I would think a GS-series Vutek could do that with the 3M Flexible inkset
  15. Flatbed questions

Did Jeff Brito do your Oce demo? Even though Oce owns Onyx - you can still choose which RIP to purcahse with it. When I migrate to the CET - I am moving to Caldera.
  16. Flatbed questions

I print alot of white for design firms and architectural projects. One of my clients does those huge pop out semi-trailers you see at races and special events and they put a ton of second surface acrylic with flood white in those things. If you don't have a large current demand for it - I would...
  17. Flatbed questions

Yep, its impressive. So how many day/night backlits do you think you would sell in a year? Your post #9 said you would skip the white for now and upgrade later. What is 90% of you day to day work going to be? Meaning - what materials and what quality level.
  18. Flatbed questions

Seems like you just talked yourself into a first look at a CET. I can guarantee you that no one around here is printing better quality than my CET because I have seen prints or visited almost every shop around here that has a UV-curable device. There are a few AGFA Anapurnas that print really...

  20. Looking For A CNC Router

I am in the same boat, but looking for a wide format designed router with iCut - not some goofy handheld panel. Best I can find is in the $40K range.
