  8. Printed clear back lit signs washing out when lit... NEED HELP!

We just do a single layer of color followed by a double-hit pass of white followed by a pass of 4 color - all inline with the UV flatbed. Takes a little longer but its a one step process and looks nice. Doing it this way you can also put in some cool watermark effects.
  9. axyz vs. multicam

IMHO - of the two choices - Multicam would be the way to go for what you will be doing. The suggestion that was offered to find cabinet shops or woodworking shops to get their opinions is a good one. Have both AXYZ and Multicam give you a list of 10 local clients (within 100 miles) - that have...

  11. Location, location, location?

Curious as to how much more exposure you will get there than your location that was on South Blvd. which is one of the highest traffic areas in the city. We are moving to 5600 sf. on 9/1 to make room for another flatbed and a new router along with all the other printers and residual stuff we...

We do ours with graphics out with a taped hem and graphics in with a sewn hem. Either way - they always get wrapped with paper and sealed with a company decal and a printout of the banner is taped to the paper with the specs on it.
  14. UV Ink or Other?

I print on .005 polypropylene for paint roller cover packaging samples with my CET and it works fine. helps having the white ink, too. Have to use only one lamp on low power, though.
  15. Looking at the Jetrix 3015.

$140K - $160K, but I bet you could get them down to $120K
  16. Looking at the Jetrix 3015.

What printer are you leaning towards? How pissed would you be if you settled on the Jetrix and found out they are leaving the US market?
  17. Router Questions

Not necessarily so... depends on type of router. Graphics routers with vision systems use those file types - but woodworking routers use .dxf or .dwg files. You need to ask the router guy what to provide.

  19. Retailers Ready To Force Consumers To Pay ‘Swipe Fee’ For Using Plastic

For any customer that is paying with credit card - we just add 3.5% to the total quote and the "fee" is absorbed by the customer in the original quote or we add it to the shipping/handling charges if we are making containers to ship large prints. I go to a lot of gun shows to pick up various...
