I think thats what you are seeing is static affecting the nozzle spray laydown. 16% is way too low to be used in flatbed printing. I am in North Carolina and run at 55% all day and have no issue.
Matt is right on target with the encoder strip. Try wiping it or blowing it off with air gun. If not - I think I have an encoder strip for the printer around here if you need a new one. Pretty sure my new model uses a different strip now.
Based on your initial detail about printing to non-flat wood - I would think hard about a flatbed. When you ruin $14K in printheads once - you won't want to do it again.
I don't know if anyone has dynamic adjustable head height yet - but thats what you want if your wood curls on end or waves in...
There's one in Greenville, SC about two hours from you in Georgia. Company who has it is a wholesaler - so a quick trip down there should not be an issue.
Have been in contact with Werner for a long time - when this thing was at infancy.
Go to ISA or SGIA if you want to see one. SGIA is in...
Hey gang,
Can you all provide recommendations for a replacement design computer that will be beefy enough to handle very large photoshop files that will make supersize banners?
Manufacturer

Graphics board

I...
Not changing from the Ricoh's - just adding more of them. I need the quality plus the increase in throughput I can get with the 20 head model vs. an 8 head model.
Well, lets see here...
I haven't been on Signs 101 for over 2 months because we moved into our new building and it is now full of Epsons (I now have the S70, the S30 and the new S50 is sitting in a box as we speak).
I also have the new CET 1000 with 2 rows of Ricoh heads. Sold my original CET...
Waiting for a call back from Pat's favorite wholesaler, but I need someone who can do 5 two-sided window clings today and ship out to Atlanta tonight.
We haven't profiled new flatbed yet and customer is getting antsy.
Please let me know ASAP!

I will post pics of our new space up here in Concord we moved in to over the weekend.

New flatbed arrived last week from CET, new Epsons are on the stage (you'll have to see to understand)
I've done this before with some LEDs I got from GE that ran off a 9-volt battery. Glued the wires in to place and poked the led through the front and glued them in place. Wired in a push button so folks could read the banner and push the button to see it all light up. Sewed black vinyl on the...
