  1. New Shop Finally Ready To Show

do you bring vehicles in there? I see a garage door.... If so, winter in Tunder Bay must leave an awful mess lol
  2. Nothing like a clean shop!

I was thinking about re rolling the floor in the back shop white again over the holidays...Looks sort of grey with bits of vinyl stuck everywhere.
  3. Does Flexi have a limited amount of cut shapes it can send out at one time?

I run the Summa via serial port..... Computer does not go into sleep mode either. I just think based on the fact that it stopped all 4 times at the exact same place that there must be some limitation on the file sent.
  4. Does Flexi have a limited amount of cut shapes it can send out at one time?

I ask this as I am running a rather large print cut job. The decals are very small circles and each batch is 5208 cuts. The cutter stops with some sort of port error at about the 90% completion rate...and stops cutting at the exact same place in all 4 runs. Not a big issue as them being so...
  5. Perforated vinyl fail

In defense of vehicles with wipers... If they put them on, they probably need them. When I owned a mini van it was incredible how much crap was sucked onto the back window. My car virtually gets nothing on it. Having said that I would say what Gino said.
  6. 3M Engineer Grade Reflective

I don't have an answer, but why not laminate them?
  7. Dodged a bullet this morning...

One of the reasons that cutting mats are so important. I have seen shops using 1/8" pvc to cut on or tin...but if the knife gets stuck in one of the grooves... bye bye finger tip.
  8. Ditching cable TV

Too many good sports station only on cable...I'm screwed...although I do have a couple of Roku's for Netflix.
  9. Canvas stretching pliers and stapler

Don't want to thread hijack here, but can someone tell me what sort of canvas you print on and maybe some pics of the finished work? I have never done one of these, but might be interesting to try.
  10. Ok, I have to share. This was a new one..

pretty easy to replicate...10 minutes...but I know what you mean. It's not their fault, but they have to be willing to pay you to redraw it for them.
  11. 3ml calendered cutting vinyl vs 3ml calendered digital vinyl

I have made this observation about the calendered vinyl we use in the shop. For the most part when it comes to cutting vinyl I use many different brands, but usually buy full rolls of black and white from a dealer that sells General Formulations. I have always liked using this vinyl and it...
  12. Flexi? why would they design it to do this?

no idea where I would find the user ID software is 7 years old.
  13. Throwback Thursday?

What more could you ask for
  14. Flexi? why would they design it to do this?

Nice to know someone has the same cutter as me...and yes I know about right clicking in the default options... I guess I should be asking you if running Flexi, if you ever get the window that opens and you have to re input which printer and cutter you have. That is when the problem occurs.
  15. Flexi? why would they design it to do this?

Once you reload the driver all the files magically appear...but the hold info has now become delete
  16. Signlab 8 magnifier tool changed?

Hey I just tried and your right...accept I have to click it 3 times to make it go away. Maybe I can retain that on those automated mindless moves lol Thanks
  17. Signlab 8 magnifier tool changed?

I used to run Signlab 5 and whenever I used the magnifier tool, after doing the initial magnification the tool would automatically change back to the pointer and you could manipulate or do whatever you wanted. Signlab 8 made a change to the magnifier, and now when you magnify, it stays in...
  18. Flexi? why would they design it to do this?

Yes this is what I do also.... If your drivers don't load when starting up the software, you have to manually instruct the computer what printer and cutter you have...then it proceeds to load the drivers.... My issue is that 1) it changes the default to delete all cut jobs, which is an easy fix...
  19. Flexi? why would they design it to do this?

YES!! Correct, but it won't change the current jobs in the prod manager to hold...you must do each one manually if you even catch it. I just would like to know why it can't load the drivers?
