  1. Need Help Silvering with Floor & Control Panel Overlaminate

It looks more like dust to me. If you zoom in you'll notice the center of most spots seems to have a particle under it. Is it consistent throughout all of it... Or just in certain spots? I'd get some tack cloths and try to wipe it down while laminating...
  2. Kala laminator - sensor bypass

As a production guy I bypass the laser as well. As an owner.... I'm surprised you allow for it. All it takes is one guy to squish his fingers and you're in a lot of trouble and on the hook for all damages! That includes if your worker gets pissed at you, wants a few months off and purposely...
  3. HP Latex vs Epson S80600

Looks good. We bought an s40 because of all the stories we heard about the ink in the s80 sucking.... Regretting it now! S80 would be worth it. Oh well, next upgrade well get one! Thanks for the sample.
  4. Anti-graffiti, laminate vs liquid coating

Weird, I went to the US site! Pesky redirects https://www.amazon.com/INTBUYING-29-5In-Laminator-Laminating-Machine/dp/B07TFCF78G/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=manual+laminator&qid=1614948093&sr=8-3 There we go.

It's not too expensive... Youll likely mess up more trying to hand apply than it'd cost to...
  6. Discussion First thing this morning

You guys ever get the hockey jersey scams up there? Had a vendor I never heard of call and say he's going to send me a free personalized jersey. Asked my info...then my home address so that someone else doesn't open it on me. I told him nah, just send it here and mark it attention my name and...
  7. HP Latex vs Epson S80600

How long does the orange ink last? I've heard horrific stories from the last gen of ink. Don't get me wrong.. I love the Epsons now and use one daily. But if I had to choose with being a shade or two off and using an orange ink that only lasts for a few months to a year outdoors.... I'd go...
  8. Anti-graffiti, laminate vs liquid coating

The main thing with anti graffiti is it's chemical resistance properties. It can withstand using harsh solvents on it because of the material it's made out of... So trying to erase sharpies and stuff with alcohol is no different than trying to erase sharpies off the wall with alcohol. If it's...
  9. Has anyone used non-PVC printable vinyl to make stickers or decals?

We use 3ms alot. Works great. You can't cut pvc with a laser..... It's toxic and it ruins the laser. So a lot of people use pvc free.
  10. NO INK AFTER NEW BOX OF INK

check the line from your box to your printer and see if theres a kink... We had this happen once when the operator twisted the plastic line and it kinked and caused a vacuum so no ink could be sucked up. We just de-kinked it the best we could and it seemed to fix itself
  11. Static Cling and Head Strikes

We switched all our static cling cuisines over to an Idot... So far everyone loves it more, not one complaint. We got tired of the static cling losing its doing after a month of being opened
  12. Tabletop laminator?

The highway handyman has a metal roller on the bottom. It's great for applying faces to signs, but I don't think it'd work for laminating prints. I'd get a small roll laminator and just use that. You can get a Chinese one on Amazon...
  13. Can you do cut through with kiss cut knife?

Huh? There's a special cut through blade?.... I just use cb09 or cb15 in the other position to cut over the channel. I have a second/third blade holder bought off eBay for $10(they have a lot of wiggle, I don't recommend them for kiss cuts, but they work perfectly for perf) with a cb09 blade...
  14. Failing Graphics

I stalked your website.. You guys do tons of wraps, from very complex to just flat decals. What looks like 100+ installs... I'm sure something like this Could be done blindfolded! I wouldn't question the install and post heating in a scenario like this.... Install mistakes do happen, but IMO...
  15. Failing Graphics

Kamloops... You're close! Always good to see fellow Canadians Calandered vinyl is meant for flat surfaces. Purely flat surfaces... And while that's not too big of a curve... It doesn't surprise me that it lifted. I don't think post heating it would have helped in this case... I'm used to 3m...
  16. UV & Eco solvent printer in the same room

Get a new installer if he doesnt even know that? We have UV, Solvent, Latex, and Screen print in the same room... why would it make a difference? So long as you have proper power requirements you're fine.
  17. Cloudy splotches in 3M 8518 gloss lam

It's from the glue "pooling" It happens sometimes at the end of 3M rolls.... Usually it'll go away with heat or over time.... Doesn't help for indoor installs, but if you take a heat gun to it on low for a few minutes, it should clear up. With how expensive 8150 is...It's worth a try at least...
  18. New Product More Attentive

Technically I pointed out that advice on To-do lists wouldn't help me after the reply Texas was quoting you saying... ;) And it wasnt so much that I don't want your advice, More over I'd rather you post something that can help everyone and drum you up some clientele. This is a Forum - People...
  19. New Product More Attentive

To-Do lists are a must for me. I used to operate the printers while doing tons of other stuff... now I'm so busy we just replaced myself as an operator, and all I do is production management. If I didn't have to do lists, or tasks... the shop would be crazy and I wouldnt get anything done...
  20. New Product More Attentive

Because I'm not hiring someone to make signs for me, I'd be hiring someone to provide me with tools to improve my business.... For that I want someone who's proven to be, and specializes in business consulting... not someone who is dabbling in it because he's bored of, or couldn't make it in the...
