Regularly, this starts happening when the plastic guides are placed wrong. When placing the plastic protectors on the metal bottom, the lower protector should be fixed slightly more leftwards than the upper one.

Was the machine not in use for a longer period? I know from the smaller Latex Printers that often yellow is the first ink where the pigments settles.

You can activate panneling. What means that the cutter divides the job in panels, cutting each panel completely until continuing with the next one. Will avoid long media moves. If your media tracks well, you will not see any difference. The length of the panels can be defined.

It doesnt matter how much process colors are used as long as there are no pantone matching spot inks. It would be interesting how much tolerance is applied when Pantone certifies such printers. But you are right, 100% pure red is the value searched for.

It is not possible to get an exact match of Pantone in hue and appearance with a process printer. Pantone colors are printed as spot print colors regularly in offset printing or screen printing, mixed manually out of around 15 base colors. There are bridge color swatches which shows Pantone...

Does the cutter cuts both line colours? If yes, check the communication settings of your cutter. Could be that „tool commands“ is set to „ignore“. Your question should be placed better into Summa or Flexi-Category.

It depends on your cutter model you havent mentioned until know. Could be that the feature isnt supported or described anymore.

The ultrasonic sensor is the media sensor of the take up-unit (pretty shure). I think you do not have to know every detail of the service mode, you just needs to know what you need to solve problems. Or you can try to get a service manual.
