    the sp was the first to run white. i was printing white all last night with my jv3 160sp. you can set it up CMYKlmlcSS... i run my printer CMYKx2 and when i run white first passes i use my KK head with an auxiliary ink line.

    if you want real cheap you might be able to flip the encoder with a little modification to the base. is it badly damaged or just really dirty?

    upload the photo? there are other approaches as well. you could threshold the image and just print the highlights on the second/top layer so things like leaves are pushed forward.

    depends on the size and weight, location, opaque/clear? size of parts to be glued, etc. youi'll need highly flexible it's two large parts, they will have different rates of thermal expansion. give more details or upload a rendering of the project.

    i don't use my 160sp for vinyl. so my fans and take up and such are all stored away. but i did do one project and had no problem with drying. maybe it would have been an issue if the colors were extremely saturated? here's the project (no fans or drying etc)...

    i've considered with panels and installs like this encouraging the client to just bring the basic layout. the real money is made printing the file. photos get changed, make this bigger, that one darker, no... wait we sent the wrong version of the pic of whatever. it slows down production...

    having your printing unlevel will definitely force too much pressure against the ink supply. the ink runs down to the head with very slight positive pressure inside the lines. leaning it to horizontally will cause it to leak. the reason it's on the sides is because the direction change whips...
