  1. SP300V Printing Grainy on Left and RIght Edges

DARN!!! Was going to grab some of these and just stick them to each side of the heater http://www.amazon.com/ENGINE-HEAT-TEMPERATURE-STICKS-STRIPS/dp/B001PNQGEK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1326322242&sr=8-3 But they don't go low enough!!! It seemed like such a perfect Idea!
  2. SP300V Printing Grainy on Left and RIght Edges

3164/3165.....are u running 115 on both heaters? I'm going to look into a laser temp sensor...maybe even one of those little 2" long heat temp sensors they use on dirt bike motors.
  3. SP300V Printing Grainy on Left and RIght Edges

You know I thought about that SAME thing...temperatures. Right now on all my vinyls I run 100print /116 after temperatures...usually with good luck. What would you recommend me trying?
  4. Want Versaworks to cut then drop....

If you are looking for a take-up system, Pacific Coast Sign Supply sells a NICE one that works really well (from what I hear) for around $400....I've been eyeing it for a while on ours. I think it's cascade take-up system?? Maybe not? Ask em!
  5. SP300V Printing Grainy on Left and RIght Edges

Hey guys... Typically we do pretty well with our printer, but lately I've noticed this problem we're having appeared out of no where. Anything we print along the far left and far right edge of the media (any media) appears extremely grainy for the first 1", and then the grain smooths out...
  6. Stencil Cutouts???

Does anyone have a good material to throw through a plotter and use as a reusable stencil? Doesn't have to be rigid per-se, but does need to NOt be peel and stick. Something I can plot out and have a customer use as a spray paint stencil over and over again just by either taping it up or holding...
  7. Got my Roland 300

hey that's not a very good way to welcome someone to digital printing...with buyers remorse! lol
  8. Got my Roland 300

For plastic low-energy applications like football helmets we use Arlon DPF8000...call arlon and have them send you a sample you may like it.
  9. Switched to Matte --- Now this...

I can't take credit for the idea -- my Roland Dealer, Pacific Coast Paint, gave me the idea. It never occurred to me, but makes perfect sense lol. Even roland's tech hadn't thought of that yet. :) We printed 3165 Matte with ZERO problem yesterday. I have a feeling it might just be a bad roll.
  10. Got my Roland 300

I use 3165 over 3651 on our sp300v -- it prints great and it's thicker and easier to handle if you aren't laminating everything. Also we just switched everything from gloss to matte vinyl. Colors pop more, no glare and looks way more professional. Laminate with gloss if you want gloss stickers.
  11. printing problem sp 300

I print 0-0-0-100 on my sp300v and get perfect black with Sign and Display or Max Impact Ink Profiles (in versaworks).
  12. Switched to Matte --- Now this...

Talked to Oracal...going to cut off a 10ft section of this roll, flip it 180 degrees and try printing that way to see if the problem is still on the right roller. If it is still on the right roller, I'd say it's the roller. If it's now tunneling on the left side, It's a bad roll.
  13. Switched to Matte --- Now this...

Yes this doesn't happen with any other glossy vinyl. This is our first roll of matte and this is happening. temps set at 100 print heater, 114 after heater...
  14. Switched to Matte --- Now this...

We just switched our shop to Matte finish 3164 for cheap prints, but now all the sudden our printer on the right side is doing this and screwing up every print that runs through the printer. It's basically twisting the vinyl off the liner where the right pinch roller is. We switch back to gloss...
  15. Is this too Cheap??

Yes I'd require him to run $50 minimum order. His kits typically run 4.25square feet so he'd need to send two at a time to meet our minimum of at least $50 PS - this feedback is REALLY helpful. Thank you guys, keep it coming.
  16. Is this too Cheap??

true. Just calculated this out... per kit after cost of just materials only, i'd be making $17 lol. Not including electricity, man time, reweb laminator, etc. I'm thinking at $13.70 a square foot, minimum 2 kits it MIGHT be worth it now that I look at it. That'd have me making about $47 profit...
  17. Is this too Cheap??

Any suggestions on where you guys would be with the given scenario price wise to wholesale would totally be helpful too
  18. Is this too Cheap??

He moved here from another state and needs a new local printer for his business. It's an internet business he runs. The whole thing for me is that I operate out of my house with low overhead and my printer isn't running but a few hours a day, so if I can keep it running, it MAY be worth it....am...
  19. Is this too Cheap??

Should also mention that all artwork is print and cut ready with bleeds and cut contour lines for versa works...download, print, outgas, laminate. No artwork to fiddle with as customer has been sending print jobs to his previous guy print ready.
  20. Is this too Cheap??

Hey guys... Curious where YOU would be on this combo for WHOLESALE customers. Oracal 3951GRA Rapid Air Oracal 290 or 293 Laminate (same price) Customer says his previous supplier charged him $6.75 a square foot printed and laminated with the above materials. We have the option to buy both...
