nozzles performing fine. Banding is an issue no matter the head speed or the temp although it DOES seem to get a little better if I let the sp540v profile choose the heater temp. I'll post pics in a couple days.
In the heavy ink spots of red/green ink is appearing very blotchy. What would it...
What profile/settings(heat, head speed etc) are you using with the sp300v on dpf8000? I'm still willing to try this stuff out...I've got about 4 more yards to play with until I fully give up.
On our sp300v, we're having MAD banding issues with EVERY profile we try. We've tried the sp540v, slowed head speed down, changed temps etc. EVERYTHING results in banding and splotchy colors. Is this just a crappy vinyl? Not to mention it shrinks so bad on the liner before it even gets printed...
Just got an email this morning for a concrete customer wanting floor graphics...would it be out of the question to apply 3165 or 3651 (laminated with oracal 210) directly to a glossy epoxied floor, then having them epoxy right over the top of the laminated oracal 3165? First time we've gotten...
I have applied glossy 210 with plastic and felt. Both scratch but I've been TOLD that the scratching goes away within 2-3 days if it's in sunlight. Haven't ever gone back to see if it really did go away, but customer has never called complaining?
Not bad, but i think there could have definitely been some color correction in the kids on the yellow gumdrop. They are lacking any pop or realistic color
Yes i always cut with heat...on my 30" and spot on every time...with or without lamination. I still don't understand how it reads four circles and figures out where to cut lol.
Michael -- another thing I TOTALLY spaced. Turn your printer on, goto the regular menu and scroll through until it...
Karyn -- I don't turn heat off to print/cut with or without lamination. My heaters stay on and my cut is near perfect all the time....Cut SPEED was 95% of my problem. Turn it down to 12-15cm/s and see how much more accurate it is.
If that doesn't work on it's own...use the service mode...
In all honesty I don't use a method for pricing cut decals. They're a pain in the ass, some take ten minutes to pick for one - some take 3 seconds. I look at the sticker and spout out a number that I feel is worth it for me. With cut vinyl - your cost is basically pennies, what you are charging...
is it equally off across the entire sheet from side to side (across the entire 30" width)? or is it progressively off towards one side or the other, or even towards the center?
Try cleaning the encoder strip with rubbing alcohol on a clean swab. Swipe one way along the front, then do it again...
3M Clearbra -- Always. Built in hardcoat...lots of people won't install it, cuz it takes some serious talent to install correctly vs the other soft paint protection films.
If you need 3M Clearbra bulk call Scott Graham at One Source. Tell Him Matt Fishler sent you...
