Why can't anyone understand how to make a pdf with NO PREPRESS MARKS, NO CROP MARKS, and NO BLEEDS and all fonts converted? If it's just text on a white sign blank you must include the sign blank or I will not know what size you're after.
Please don't use photoshop for the layout. Absolutely no reason the file should be over 1GB! 250MB max. That's not what photoshop is for. Use a vector program (illy, corel, flexi, signlab, etc)
I've gotten many "sign specs" from companies where the math doesn't add up and no font specified. 0r calls for 4" LH Helvetica which becomes way too long to fit within "the specs" now what? "Can't you just squish it!"

We don't have a need for a large number of brown reflective .080 alum so we're having a hard time finding a supplier who will cut from 4 x 8 sheets. We can make our own cuts but it's a pia.
Less seams = good. Yes, more work and justifiably pricier but the customer will be happy. On this vehicle you will inevitably end up with a seam somewhere though.
I receive pdf's all the time that I can instantly tell are from Adobe. Sometimes I can successfully open them in illustrator and save them out again for use in Corel other times I'm forced to open in photoshop and export as a tiff.
Adobe using don't understand how to make a file cross compatible. They assume everyone uses Adobe. DO NOT MAKE AN EPS FILE IF "GRADIENTS ARE USED"
The most cross compatible file to use is pdf. From illy it has to be done a certain way though and not many care to learn the proper way because...
