  1. advice

I used this one: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/fontry/avengeance/ I love The Fontry's fonts. Agreed on the laundry list not being legible. (land sea record or some grungy thing) Phone # is Arroyo.

  4. My favorite day of the whole year.

...I think Brian meant March 14th...Google it. I've been getting up an hour early on my own for 3 weeks now, I will be glad to see the clocks go ahead. Love....Jill
  5. one of those days

Oh God, what a nightmare. It's happened to me as well but I knew what I was getting into as I had bid the job from the start. I had bid in at 4 hours but it took 6, and the fireman saw what a PITA it was and were OK with the additional charges. I don't think I could feel my fingertips for three...
  6. advice

Here's a quick suggestion. (I'm no wrap designer and all I have is a 2001 Pro Vehicle Outlines CD) Where the grey is on mine you could put the diamond plate, not sure if this fits into the genre but just wanted to show you something with more legibility. ...not much more tho. Hahaha
  7. some times I wonder

I feel your pain. Chin up. Love....Jill
  8. advice

Logo bigger...that new font looks like something granny would cross-stitch. Even something like Arroyo from Sign DNA would be good, I always like that font.
  9. advice

I like the black bottom part and the basic swooshy thing. But is diamond plate something you see in MX stuff? The list of services is OK but needs a better font. Tagline is lost down there at the bottom and may look better bigger up in the diamond plate area. The logo is just bad (sorry) it...
  10. First wrap design in awhile

Marlene has a good idea, put the guy in the window. Just don't do the plumber on the toilet thing it's been done to death. :)
  11. advice

I disagree about racers, high speed, it's the hardest money I've ever had to work for next to political signs or golf outing stuff. I leave that to the local hacks. :)
  12. First wrap design in awhile

Well in that case...get him to do the infamous Burt Reynolds pose.
  13. advice

I'm glad you've found your niche and some success. Now go and re-do that into something really killer looking.
  14. First wrap design in awhile

Hard to read and lacks cohesion. I'd go way retro using a caricature of the guy rather than a photo, and use less 80s looking colors. Phone number has way too much emphasis. I'd start over or sub out the design. Love....jill
  15. Anybody?

Print that out, tape it to a window. Tape a piece of white copy paper over it. Get a flat-tipped magic marker, trace it, scan the paper, import it into your sign program. Then node edit. That looks like how that was made (then someone cut it out of Avery) Love....jill
  16. Some Dimensional work

    Very impressive. Love....jill
  17. advice

The font choices are really atrocious. The swoosh/oval has been done to death. I think the big diamond plate is the best thing on there. I also think what circleville means is that all you will be getting from the looks of that thing are people who want cheap race car numbers, stick figure...
  18. catchin in Durango

We went up to Erie last weekend and it was way too cold to fish. There were ice fishermen out on the lake...but who would want to do that?
  19. Prepping Clients Mentally - Avoiding problems

I am dealing with something like this today. A client wants all lower case letters...OK fine. But they email me a font they like which only comes in all-caps. I tediously rebuild it into lower case letters for the name, and with some tweaks, they approve it. Tweaks meaning six emails back and...
