Solvent printers can print on almost any reflective you can find. I've had success with Nikkalite products specifically but there shouldn't be a need to print on clear and laminate. Just print direct.
Vertical lines are almost always a bad encoder or a pinch roller issue. If we've ruled those items out, I'd say change the dampers if they are older than 1 to 2 years just to rule them out. Sometimes they can cause weird issues like this but it's rare. Other than that, it's probably an...
It's definitely an option in Flexi but it's the driver that communicates with the cutter that's the issue. So when you go to set it up in Flexi, there just won't be a port to select that will work.
ValueJets don't use a driver to print. It's a standard LAN setup so that's probably more of a Sign Lab issue. I know for certain that you can print to a 1324 on windows11 with Flexi.
The cutter is another beast. I wouldn't be surprised if the driver was last updated for a windows OS long...
They all sort of have their strengths and weaknesses.
For parts I would say, Epson, Roland, Mimaki, and Mutoh because most of their machines run on the same Epson print head engine so a lot of the same parts are used on different models. This makes it easier to find, not only OEM parts, but...
As stated above, it could be the room temp is too high but it could also be a short in the head circuit. When circuits short, they heat up and trip the sensor on the head.
For an XC-540 that's about a standard print in my opinion. You might be able to improve it with alignments or you could try a new profile that is higher resolution and slower motor speed but at the end of the day, that machine is pretty old. It's about 4 head generations back so if you're...
If you register your machine and join the Mutoh Club, you can login with the Mutoh Club credentials. Unfortunately if you want to get into the tech side of things, dealers and techs aren't allowed to give theirs out. I think you might be able to do the firmware on the user end of things though...
The complex looking nodes on the barbed wire look like a gradient mesh to me. It shouldn't be making the file size so big. I'd click the, "Show All" button and see if there are some hidden images in the file that you can't see. Also, look at your layers. There is a drop down arrow available for...
I just remembered as well, Mimaki sends a roll of Teflon tape with all of their machines. You can apply it to the platen between the vacuum holes and it will allow the material to slide better which should give more consistent feeding. You apply the strip along the length of the platen. just...
The print cut alignment can be confusing on that model because it has two different settings based on if you're using crop marks or not. When you're using crop marks, it's called TP Offset so just make sure that's the option you're choosing when doing the adjustment.
Also the default is for...
Do you have another computer you could try to print from? If the same thing happens with a completely different computer and RIP, unfortunately it could be a malfunctioning main board. Something isn't being processed correctly by the CPU essentially. Maybe there is another possibility but to me...
The machine does have a recirculation route that is supposed to agitate the ink inside the system to prevent the clogging. For some reason if the white doesn't get used enough, it clogs in the lines though. The lines are black and UV resistant but the ink still clogs. So it's not clogging in the...
