I've heard some people have had issues with ethernet. If you can, try USB and see if that fixes the issue. You also want to check to make sure your computer isn't set to sleep after a certain amount of time. Sometimes it doesn't go all the way to sleep but will turn off just the hard drive or...
There should be a button in the bottom right corner of the job setup window called, "Set as default". If you click that, it saves whatever settings you currently have selected and applies them to any file coming in. You can also create a preset in the same window. It's at the top left and looks...
Yeah I seem to remember someone made a video about this and the slits ended up weakening the overall structure so much that it offset any benefits to wind reduction.
It's a problem with the head circuit. You can try unplugging the head cable and reinstalling but if you're under warranty, I'd let the tech do it. There's a possibility you need a new head or head bower board.
The nozzle check picture is pretty blurry but it doesn't look like you have a ton of deflections which is what I would have thought at first. I'd run the head alignments to make sure everything is tight but unfortunately it seems like one or more bad heads. You might also look at the room...
The thing about the whole PC vs Mac debate is that PC can mean a junk HP from Best Buy with all of the lowest quality parts, or a top of the line self built PC with all the bells and whistles. People with experience can build a PC with Mac specs for around the same cost or cheaper in some cases...
I assume because it's new, it's the plus version? If that's the case, here is a link to the profile collection on Mimaki's site. They are ICC files but sometimes they don't load into other RIPS but it's worth a shot. And yes, dual CMYK is still considered 4 color.
That specific item won't be in any manual that I know of. I fix and install them in the field so I just sort of know from experience. If you look up the two items on the Mimaki website it will show you which machine and ink it's compatible with and what function it serves. It just so happens...
It usually has to do with how fast it evaporates. You don't want the solution to break up pigments and then dry so fast it stays in the head. Cleaning solutions tend to dry quicker. So at the end of the day, you can just get flush and use it as a cleaner too but I wouldn't go the other way...
We do but we're waiting on a stocking order at the moment. But like I mentioned above, try a cap top first. It's way cheaper and it's usually the issue. The old one can look perfectly fine and still not be sealing correctly due to the rubber becoming more brittle over time.
Feel free to contact us. Looks like we have better pricing on the DX4, DX5 and DX7 heads if that is what you're looking for. We're an actual Mutoh and Mimaki dealer so can't get more legit than that! Solventinkjet.com
