  1. Printing wholesaler

About 95% of my work is wholesale to the trade. I can send you some pricing when I go back to the shop. I am a 2 person shop doing wholesale wide format using latex and eco-solvent printing as well as apparel screen printing and DTG printing. Since we are small, yet growing quickly, we are...
  2. Table Cover Supplier

I do a ton of wide format printing to the trade as well as screen printing but not wide format textile prints. I kill airbus' pricing all the time but I can't beat the pricing at B2sign. They are top notch with table covers. I just ordered one last week for a customer and charged him what I...
  3. Software Help Shop management software

I'm a 1 man shop doing mostly wholesale printing to the trade and still decided to add Cyrious control after having difficulty in juggling all the jobs coming in. Pricing is based on how many invoices you do a month. I'm nowhere near the amount needed to move up to the. Ext tier so it cost me...
  4. HP L25500 "Replace Printhead"

I was wondering if you did the alcohol swab on the print head contacts in the carriage. I do them about every other time I change heads. There is an unreal amount of aerosol in the printer that you never see. If I can attach a photo, you will see a bunch of ink deposit on he exterior of my...
  5. Hi everyone. I am 100% new to this field.

Check out conde systems and search for dye sublimation blanks. They make aluminum blanks that have absolutely outstanding quality. The biggest problem is that the image has to be pressed at one time so you can't do a print that is larger than your heat press. The most common press is about...
  6. Hi everyone. I am 100% new to this field.

Welcome to signs 101. You need some serious cash to get into printing directly on those hard goods. You need a flatbed printer. Those are going to start at about $80k for the basics and go up from there. The good ones are well over $250k. You probably need to be looking for a wholesale printer...
  7. Wide Format Cutter

Check this out. I have been using the mondo cutter for a couple years and it cuts 8' wide with no issues and uses regular razor blades. I don't know why the price is so much better than anything else out there but this thing a Big Squeegee are two of my most used tools on a daily basis...
  8. Startup Business QUESTIONS?!

This has been quite the interesting thread. Generally, I find Sings101 to be one of the more negative forums I have read and been a part of, but if you need help, these guys are here and will help with any info they can provide. I have my own business inside of a fantastic 40'x24' shop....behind...
  9. best vector program

Vector Magic without a doubt. Sometimes I have to photoshop areas of the image if it's pretty bad to help with the trace, but overall, this is the best thing out there that I know of and it's super fast. I then take it into Illustrator and edit nodes as needed.
  10. Who does Silk Screening here?

i do printing to the trade only. Screen printing on textiles, dtg, wide format using Hp latex and embroidery.
  11. L25500 Printheads

I have been running one of these machines for a few years. I have an issue with it right now and it's probably needing a head change. The black prints perfect for about 3-4 feet and then acts like it's ink starved and starts banding. All the other colors are fine so that is most likely the case...
  12. ShopVox - frustration beyond imagination - no way to list labor as non-taxable.

I have to say that I looked at the demo for sign of twice and also some of the other software out there. I ended up buying Cyrious which, while it took some time to get the setup completed, they had step by step instructions as well as fantastic tech support. I purchased the software but if I...
  13. hydro dipping

Sorry, I missed the transition. I have not found anything larger. Theoretically, it is possible but it's done with heat and pressure. Some companies sell a "jacket" for mugs instead of using the vacuum. It is put on the item (cup, mug, plate, whatever) and is tightened down with a nut and bolt...
  14. hydro dipping

There are a lot of larger setups available. Take a look on YouTube and you will see a lot of runs being coated. Looks like most people are using this technology for car customization. You can find the large dip tanks online with a quick search.
  15. New HP Latex printers L560 and L570

I had a sales rep get it directly from an Hp sales rep yesterday. The sales rep from Hp wouldn't say anything except that it's about 30-35% faster than the 360. No other info on it. Looking forward to Monday. It's also going to be a few thousand more so maybe we are going to get some really nice...
  16. New HP Latex printers L560 and L570

If you are planning on getting a L360 or L370 before the end of the month, you may want to wait. I just heard that the next generation machine is being released on Monday which is why the LOI papers from ISA were only good to the end of the month instead of 30 days like usual. I don't know...
  17. UV or LATEX

I am currently printing some government jobs on 3m 5271 reflective vinyl I'm printing black on the yellow reflective so that only the non-printed areas are reflective. I'm currently using a HP L25500 and then we are using the 3m laminate that 3m recommends. 3m only says that screen printing is...
  18. How to dispose/recycle old printer

I guarantee there are people here who would buy it for nothing but parts or throw it on ebay. I just bought a Fujifilm Acuity 1600 LED printer on ebay for less than 2k. it's doing what it should at this point, but if I could find another one cheap, I'd buy it for part. Fuji is selling that...
  19. Looking for No Curl Banner like Bantex

I have a customer who has been using Orbus for several years and decided he would like to bring his work local since I am primarily doing trade printing now. Orbus uses a no curl banner that they call. 13oz Flatmaxx Vinyl which is apparently something they are bringing in from China and naming...
  20. Rollers on Laminator not putting pressure in center

I'm running a Royal Sovereign cold laminator in my shop (54") and had similar issues. I couldn't physically see an issue with the machine, but due to pressure being uneven across the rollers, it would cause the lam and substrate to pull unevenly, resulting in wrinkles and air bubbles. I asked a...
