We use a heavier wire h stake from our supplier. You can actually step on them. Cost the customer a buck more a piece, most will go for it and you don't see your coro sign waving in the breeze. Two stakes.
On one hand you have a tire kicker who has never given you any work but has gone behind your back to get your employee that you have 3 years of training invested in to work for less than you will send him to do it. On the other an employee who wants/needs some extra cash and sees no problem with...
Just going to go back to iphone. 6 years no problem of any kind in an otterbox. Rain, shine, sweaty hard working soaked to the bone sign hippy welding in a bucket truck, no problems.

I'm about to unplug a seiko 64s and toss it. Needs heads and maintenance. Full solvent inks. I don't do enough any more to justify the expense of fixing it back to proper printing quality or to replace it. Come get it if you want it. You can buy my lunch, lol.

My experience was the magenta ink was the problem. Once I switched to nazdar inkset instead of oem problem solved itself. May not be your issue but it was mine.
Cats paw and small piece of scrap to help prevent damage from force required to remove pin then repair as needed. You are already doing wood repair to sign, might as well repair holes from pins and come up with a better plan for hanging when done.
