I did make our work tables from scratch. The top is 3/4" MDO, topped with 1/8" ACM sheet. The one I use most frequently also has the Xtreme cutting mat top that you see in the photos.
I've seen a similar effect that can be created on printed apparel, by printing nothing but lines down the shirt and using puffy inks layered over each other in a similar fashion. It's a cool effect that only allows you to read what the shirt says from one side or the other, but not from straight on.
Unlike many of the others have pointed out, I never read it as "assy" and I still don't. In my opinion, if it were supposed to read as "assy" it would be "Assy" with an uppercase A. To me, what the logo spells out is quite obvious.

Thanks for the help thus far, guys. These all seem like decent suggestions. After discussing the project more in depth, she doesn't want to push the Native American thing too much and wishes to come up with something more along the lines of general spirituality. This woman makes walking sticks...
I'm looking for a typeface that might portray the spirit and/or heritage of Native Americans. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a potential customer who wants a sign made and she asked me to do it like the existing layout on her van, which not only includes no copy prioritization, but...
If you would like to build an awesome rack on a budget, I would highly recommend a rack like the one I designed here. This requires very little work to build, holds up to 96 rolls of vinyl (24 rolls per rack) within an area of less than 3 square feet per rack, and looks great, too. I'm pretty...
I couldn't agree more. They all three say exactly what you specialize in without having to literally spell it out and they are all nice logos in their own right. I really dig the SSD monogram, or scramble as you say. I didn't know that terminology until now. Thanks. ;)
