I was going to say things are likely different in Canada, but someone beat me to it. Grimco is usually the cheapest here - I've had a few reps come and try to get our business... but when they find out what we currently pay, they curse Grimco and say theyre making almost no profit. Over...
The way I see it.. 99% of the businesses we deal with are a 9-5 business as well. If they're there at 8 pm maybe whatever they need is a rush and having my cell number jumps me to the front of the queue to produce the decal / signs / whatever.
That said... I have my work email on my phone as...
It's a Latex issue, not an onyx one - Although maybe its only relevant in onyx.
If your machine goes to sleep... onyx will no longer be able to read from it, and you'll have to end task like you said.
You CAN still send prints to it - just select your media manually and size manually and hit...
They are too huge issues, so you have to ask yourself - Why do so many people buy latex if it has them huge caveats?
We print dozens of car wraps and multi panel wall wraps every week - color has never been an issue. We re-print panels for police cars that were printed 3 years ago because...
How do you guys find astute compared to power scripts?
https://o2creative.co.nz/powerscripts.php
Been using power scripts more and more... I wasn't a fan of astutes yearly fee - o2 gives free lifetime updates. (So far... Haven't had to pay yet) and has great support. I use the crop marks...
Ij35 is a perm vinyl. So I wouldn't use it when you want ease of removal. Ij4 isn't much more.
Vinyl is like the lowest cost when it comes to a wrap. Ij40 is like 15% more than 35.... You save that on the removal alone.
8519 is twice the price of a roll of ij35. I feel like it's a waste of...
I think the main part that fixed it for me is pulling it over the roller and onto the premask roll and aligning it. Even when it was taught and looked straight it was a quarter to a half inch out... Sliding it side by side to align with the roll made it perfectly straight and prevented any skew...
We have a rolls roller and premasking never gives us issues. I don't think ours is the basic though.
Do you guys have the bar attachment the premask goes on? I used to wrinkle a lot... Then the guy who uses the machine for 8 hours a day showed me how he aligns It perfectly, and now I can do...
Hey. I can't be the onlyone that sees a circle on the floor and thinks that'd be a great bullseye target...you shouldn't make promises you can't keep! :p
Out of warranty or no longer supported? Running a fb500 that's almost a decade old... Support for it is ending in 2-3 years. No more ink or parts... Thank God for third party Inks!
Why did you need to replace pinch rollers? I'm guessing you mean.the wheels and not the assembly. In which case both machines use the same wheels.
We had a 7000 for 15+ years. Then a 8000 since 2008 that we still use daily. Just got a 8600 and a 9000 as well. The 8000 needed a board...
No. Graphtec are tanks... They don't die.
Static and voltage are the main things that'll kill a graphtec. Invest in a $50 ups that will protect it from voltage drops... It's a better investment than a $600 contract is.
Personaly I think "just works" is bad. I didn't mean it in a good way :p not because the machine is garbage. Like I said... I think it's the apple of vinyl cutters. It's made good, it's easy to use, and it cost 2x the price it should! It has its place....I just think a 28" roll cutter that costs...
You can force their hand into giving you more money than they want - But thats because they need you right now. You can sure bet they'll be looking for your replacement, and as soon as they find one...you'll be out the door.
Talk it over with them, ask them what they see your worth is. If...
Personally I'd get her a roll cutter. Even a cheap uscutter option - Cricuts limited in sheet size... Unless you want to cut all your vinyl down for her, get her at least a 24" roll cutter.
https://www.uscutter.com/28in-MH-Vinyl-Cutter for $300 its worth it. Cricuts are what... $230...
I have an 8000, 8600 and 9000. You can create marks on the inside of your print for the 8000 - in illustrator make a rectangle where you want your marks to be and goto cutting master and tell it to convert rectangle.
Im 99% sure it works... Maybe do a small test before wasting a lot of...
8600 has a better arms sensor. It'll read the marks in a faster order... It has some improvements, but the 9000 has way more. I want to swap my 8600 for a 9000 :)
