  1. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

At this point, with the things that have been done and checked, as well as speed reductions helping for a while, then having to be reduced more, I feel your scan motor is dying. This is not uncommon, especially with a machine that gets heavy usage, as I suspect yours does.
  2. Mimaki cjv150-160 black dusting printing

And this happens on different medias? It would appear the black channel is going out.
  3. Mimaki cjv150-160 black dusting printing

Do you see this overspray in all of the colors? It appears that way in the test draw. If so, then you may have a static issue. Does this occur on more than 1 media type? What position is your print head in, low or high?
  4. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

I know it sounds strange, but the VG series can throw a motor error code when any of the 3 cover switches are not completely closed. Check all of them. You can put a foam swab in the slot to close the switch with the covers open. You can adjust the position of the head and maintenance cover...
  5. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

I do not find the 0030 code in my service manual. Can you post a pic of the error code screen?
  6. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

    Perfect! That's what I use.
  7. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

Use white lithium grease, not regular WD-40. You can try cleaning the belt with a dry toothbrush.
  8. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

If you use lithium grease in a spray can, be sure to spray the grease on a swab, then apply a light coating to the rail, as you cannot control the overspray if you try to spray directly on the rail. If the overspray gets on the encoder strip, then you create other issues.
  9. Pinch roller size ? VS300i

Outer pinch rollers - 21565102 Middle pinch rollers - 21565103
  10. Roland VG 540 Scan motor error 0020 0020

Try cleaning of the rail the print carriage rides on with alcohol (if you have any) or acetone and then put a very light coating of white lithium grease on the rail using a foam swab. If you continue to get the error at higher speed, it is likely your scan motor is going. Is it noisier at the...
  11. Printing a gradient black to white on Roland Soljet Pro4 XR640

Is your file RGB or CMYK. If RGB, what is the value of your white? If it is 255, try changing it to 252. If CMYK, and your white is 0, try changing it to 3. When a RIP see those pure white values of RGB 255 and CMYK 0, it thinks there is no data and will not print anything. I have had this issue...
  12. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

Will do on the print head.
  13. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

I seem to remember you stated in a post you were located in South Florida. Where? I am based in Delray Beach.
  14. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

Checking my sources for print head availability. I can almost guarantee the ribbons are not your issue. I would say this comes under shxx happens. Any head strikes or crashes? What ink are you using, as this can be a factor. Roland ink is always good, and there are some 3rd party inks that are...
  15. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

Here's the thing about nozzle test prints vs. actual files. The nozzle test is like starting your car and it idles great. There is no real load on the printhead to print a nozzle test. Now you drive down the highway and at highway speed, your car is running rough. This is the print head working...
  16. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

I can definitely see the loss of density in the light cyan.
  17. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

Try this file. It is the first file I print after creating a profile.
  18. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

Actually, it explains the warm shift exactly. RGB and/or CMYK gray depends upon the balance of CMY(LcLm) in the linearization and the ICC profile. The loss of cyan density will result in the magenta now becoming stronger, resulting in a warm tone in the grays and a color shift in any color using...
  19. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

My assessment is, unfortunately, it is the printhead. I do not feel it is the damper, as that typically results in banding, not overspray. FYI, the damper is a dual damper and one side can be problematic without the other side going bad. When the head was replaced, were new dampers installed? If...
  20. Print ( GREY ) without spot color ?

It appears you have all your nozzles back. The cyan overspray would point to the cyan or light cyan channel is possibly starting to fail. I would suggest printing the fill test in service mode. It is here - service mode-print menu-test pattern-fill. This test prints each channel at a middle...
