    Why in the hell would you want to get certified? There are no state laws requiring it, so why do it? As said before, customers would not know fellers if he tea bagged them and wrapped them in vinyl. Certifications are nothing but a money making opportunity for the vinyl manufacturers & distributors.

    not to mention the fact that he can buy a mailing list with very specific demographics for about $100, and mail it out to more than 10,000 people for the same cost. This would add new customers as well as old ones.

    Perhaps you're right. But at a $1 per client, it's not worth it. This location is already associated with being a tanning salon, and people will continue to do so even after he closes down. Unless this guy mails every client and says "Im closing", people will still come.
