am looking for answers to why flexi sign pro dxf files come into other programs segmented. I have a vender using a laser with corelx5 and he says my files are coming in segmented and he has to go in an join the segments. anyone encountered this?
thanks for all the input guys. yeah it a special type product. Most of this would have a powder coat finish so the samples were on stock sheet aluminum as we haven't got the stainless in yet. yeah we will be sublimating on powder coated stainless steel. so that is why printing directly...
yeah I asked the guy doing the samples he is using a polyester based coating on the metal to prep before printing.
so I know about the epson doesn't mutoh and mimaki make printers for this does anyone use those with sublimation inks?
thanks for the replies guys. was just getting some samples made yesterday from a guy who has a sublimation printer shop and he gave me 3 samples while I was there sublimated on aluminum with a white background. he is sending more samples with the metal background so wondering why you are...
looking at these presses brings up another question. could you panel a print if you had a solid color background or white? I'm sure you would get a seam with background other than the blank, where the ink overlaps just trying to figure out if we could use that 30 x 40 press.
hey thanks for the info WWD,
what brand and size printer do you guys use? Yeah have looked at those heat presses when they get that big the cost is way up there.
need to get a printer that uses sublimation inks. am mainly going to be using it for metal. it needs to be at least 24" wide and use bulk inks. also would need to have bulk ink tanks. noticed some are like 8 or 9 color and others 5 wondering how necessary the 8 or 9 color is? we won't be...
have a client who wants to wrap 10 small tobacco tins similar to their original wrap. looks like a type of paper with gold lettering. wondering how they did that and if we could do that on vinyl with maybe a flat laminate. contacted the stickerman and they start at quantities of like 1000 or...
anyone know how to by pass the waste ink tank sensor on a 1204. my sensor broke and am ordering another one but would like to know if it can be by passed so I can get my job printed today
just to let everyone know how this turned out. there was a very small circuit connection on the heater junction board that had gotten peed on by the mouse and the corrosion looked like it ate some of the tiny connectors away. anyway cleaned it up had to look through a magnifying glass to even...
looks like I will have to start replacing boards to find the problem. Gei cal graph charges 94.00 a half hour for over the phone consultation. the mother board for the 1204 is 1300 something and the other boards are 384 and 583 you can't return them if they aren't the right one. what a racket
yeah I have several outside cats guess they are scaring them into the shop. did have a couple mouse traps but man they like to get into these machines. did get the heaters to work by re-attaching a chewed wire. am still getting the message and annoying beeb that the y cartridge is non original
yeah I tried plugging it in to a different circuit etc.... I did receive another error message this time a heater voltage error 90 can't find it in the service manual but it doesn't look good
well back to trying to get this puppy to print right. tried setting the temps manually and it just stalls trying to warm up it won't heat. it did heat today temporary from the rip but then on the next print no dice so something strange is going on might have to call SW techs
I will give it a shot stealth, i had the heaters enabled in the rip. i needed to print so disabled them but there is something going on as i'm getting all four cartridges reading not original. we had a pretty big storm here am suspecting some kind of surge that got through my protector or...
