  1. Workflow software, what works for you?

With in a week, we'd know if there's an issue with the print. otherwise it's wasted space. Worst case the image is still on the printers hard drive or in the RIP.
  2. Workflow software, what works for you?

We delete records also. most of them we will never use again. we delete all client jobs after a week from pickup. unless it's a logo, branding or signage from repeat clients.
  3. Workflow software, what works for you?

Oh yep, I have something similar on an excel spreadsheet. might be better having it on the software also, as if i change the spreadsheet, i need to update everyone. More to think about. Thanks!
  4. Need Help How many profiles do you really need?

Canned profiles are any downloaded icc profile. (not created at your facility on your equipment) to be clear, i dont have experience with versaworks or solvent machines. What they are worried about is you not having the right parameters set for the media causing damage to the media. more to...
  5. Need Help How many profiles do you really need?

downloaded profiles are canned profiles. A lot of the times, owners aren't aware of it or does not realise the difference it makes.
  6. Workflow software, what works for you?

A absolutely love this. May take some notes on your layout. How many people do you have on the plan for that to all work for you? I don't have production files on mine, to large and easier on my server. but we keep proofs and measure files on mine Do you use separate boards for your...
  7. Workflow software, what works for you?

Oh trust me. I'd love to have my own solution running on a dedicated server, all integrated etc. But again, I just dont have the time for it. And right now i dont think spending a lot of time building a solution like that will benefit us at this point in time. That will come when i probably have...
  8. Workflow software, what works for you?

That's generally the reason behind the many types of workflow solutions. I tried a handful and set them up in under an hour. so easy that with in half a day you could get your team to switch over and run on the new platform. vs spending 2 weeks putting together my own solution. or more...
  9. Workflow software, what works for you?

Im fully aware of your post actually. I was looking thought my old thread before posting this one. Although i'd love file maker, i dont have the time to build something for myself. i have to many projects to do. infinity can export into CSV. i think the others can too.
  10. Workflow software, what works for you?

That's how found airtable. Man you got it cheap! I purchased it. So far it's not bad. IMO Airtable has a ton more features, but i think this will do for now. it's like paying for a year subscription anyway I love the table format, it makes looking at jobs a lot easier. it's cheaper than a year...
  11. Workflow software, what works for you?

I found Airtable just before while looking at youtube video reviews on infinity. so far it seems to be great. might put it to the test for a few weeks. I just like the table view. I dont know how much more i will really use. We just use it for job tracking and to follow up jobs that are still...
  12. Workflow software, what works for you?

Infinity looks good, first time seeing it. I'm assuming that lifetime options is always available? as for designing my own software, i don't think i have the spare time for that at the movement with all the projects I have going on. If i had the time, i probably would create my own. I have...
  13. Workflow software, what works for you?

We're not a huge shop, just a couple of us. We have been using Asana for a year now, although i don't love it, it has worked for us. I don't feel like it's really for print shop workflows. We went from the list layout to the board layout by moving the jobs to different columns depending on the...
  14. Disclosure for picky/cheap customers

I will go and say the issue is on your end also. You're a print shop, you can offer good quality high DPI prints and cheap fast low DPI prints. But regardless of the quality, the print should be colour managed to some degree. It shouldn't be an excuse that pay less, get less. 1 icc profile for...
  15. Icc color profile needed

Im pretty sure they use colorlogic colorant & copra for it too, so you'll get a solid profile even if you mess up on the print.
  16. Icc color profile needed

im going to suggest buying an i1 studio. You have a desktop printer, getting someone out to profile for you will cost a lot. but you'll get the right colours. getting an i1 studio will probably get you where you need for probably the same price. Or get an i1pro3 if you can afford to.
  17. Epson's UV flatbed is a fact: SC-V7000

yours probably has dual rows of print heads? This epson is on par with single row. The print heads look half the size of a normal UV head.
  18. Epson's UV flatbed is a fact: SC-V7000

Are you guys being serious? 43m/2h is 14 boards an hour. a quality mode would be 7 boards an hour. That's decently quick for what it is.
  19. Avery Print Profile

If you can’t find one. Make one...
  20. Onyx gamma print vs postershop

http://www.onyxgfx.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Products_Comparison_2016_dark_letter.pdf This is for x12. But I believe most of the features are similar anyway. Can’t find for the latest one. Just an FYI. It goes x12, x18, x18.5, x19. but it does show a huge difference in software specs.
