Alright, so I am doing this as a informational post only. We do a lot of intermediate vinyl decals, from temp. stickers to door decals. After speaking with a supplier on here, we decided to switch from oracal to Arlon GTX 4560. First impression... not bad! The black blocks out color great, it...

  3. Stolen vehicle recovered!

I just want to know what people are thinking when they steal something.........and then just leave it somewhere. Only major item I ever got stolen from me, I found in the bushes at McDonalds a few blocks down. Just...........why?

  5. Printing on vinyl for coroplast signs

If a guy hopped on a plumbing forum asking how to fix the piping in a police station, and all he had was duct tape. Would you come up with ideas on how to use duct tape, or tell him to find the right tools and inform him how to use THOSE?

I have a print that's 7 years old sitting 30' up in the air, zero fading on it, printed on a JV33..... no lam. No comparison. Even if you squeak out 2 years that's pretty bad...

  8. Printing on vinyl for coroplast signs

I answered your question. You bought the wrong equipment, anything you produce for outdoor use will be subpar. Your Amex card just got you into a whole new world of headaches. lol.
  9. Printing on vinyl for coroplast signs

OMG.... :birthday: All I can say is you got one helluva steep learning curve to handle. Let me say this though, if you want in the sign business, you bought the WRONG equipment. And I'm still wondering what kind of matte vinyl will tear!?!?!?!?!? If it's truly vinyl water shouldn't affect it. :(
  10. Printing on vinyl for coroplast signs

Welcome to the forums. A few questions for ya first. 1. First off, how on earth did you manage to buy a printer without knowing what it can do? 2. Do you have any experience in the sign field at all? Have you applied vinyl before? 3. Vinyl, unlike paper.... doesn't crumble in the rain. All...

  13. Tattoos - Who has them?

Nothing yet. Working on one that might possibly come... To me, "tramp stamps", where you get it on your lower back, aren't always a good idea. :P Tastefully done on other parts of the body though, can look quite nice imo.
  14. getting samples like pulling teeth?

Often you gotta be a big boy to get free sample. Free samples to everyone who asks, can run you out of cashflow pretty quickly. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and just try something.

You can purchase it from pacific coast sign supply probably. I seem to remember them having it in stock!
  19. Ideas for a 54" Vinyl cutter

54" FC8000 is a top notch plotter, beyond a shadow of a doubt. Sure there are some other nice ones, but that plotter should be able to handle most any sign project you throw at it for the next 10 years.
  20. FYI on a nice site.

Which I would've gotten whether I had been a sponsor of this site or not. You don't give ME anything, but I've sent countless people to you for edge printing over the years. Even yesterday referred a customer from Vegas to go to your for hubcap label printing. Never asked for $ for it, it's...
