Thank you!! That does help - there is a simple adjustment to tighten/loosen that belt so I will try that and see how it goes.

We've only run into head strikes a couple of times. Was more "head rubs" in the center of the media and only happened with 3M IJ40C and 3M IJ180cv3. Tried messing with vacuum settings and pinch roller pressure and placement and was able to get the jobs done, but haven't really found out why...

I wouldn't promote anything about Rasterlink aside from the fact that it's free and technically it will drive a printer. Onyx thrive/cut server works better for us when printing from our Roland or Mimaki and cutting on Summa.

Yep, I tried all of those. Blew out 15+ years of dust and checked all connections. I even tried adjusting the tension a bit on the belt but no noticeable improvements. I also tried comparing cuts from our swivel blade (what we usually use) and the tangential blade and the lousy quality is...

Thanks Bill. I took everything apart and tapped the solenoid a few times and it seems to boot up okay now. Fingers crossed that it's going to work for now. Still on the hunt for any instructions on how to fine tune the cut quality of the plotter if anyone knows how....!

Additional info: It's actually all of the motors that spazz out when powering down. After re-reading the instructions to determine error codes, it's throwing error #4 - "Power Relay Closed" and the only further instruction is to call Gerber Field Service. Hmm.

I just replaced the drum on our HS15+ and despite taking longer than expected, was able to get it all back together. Booted up fine, and started doing some test cuts to check the quality. Cut dept accuracy was much better with the fresh drum, which I "borrowed" from an old GS15+ we had kicking...

No problem, figured it probably wouldn't help much but was worth a shot! WhiskeyDreamer's suggestion is a good one assuming you're using an Edge. Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to try to print a color match? I would think this is what will have to be done once the leftovers run dry.

It is really good stuff. We've been using it for years but it will shrink a fair bit with heavy coverage/full bleed prints. I got carried away when we first started using it and would use it on some flat vehicle applications...but they all eventually had issues. Definitely still a good...

Yeah the white is super good. Very happy with it. But yeah, Rasterlink is a joke. The poorly translating wording and 16 tabs to accomplish something that should be done on one screen are killing me. Not to mention that it freezes almost every time you switch between tabs. What would take 30...
