  1. Signelements?

We were subscribed to sign elements for a few months. Used the vehicle templates half a dozen times and they worked pretty good. Stock images were meh. Just cancelled our auto-renew to cut unnecessary costs.
  2. Everyone Finally Moved Over ?

We still have 3 of our production computers running Win 7...... not too excited about updating them! Mainly our computer that runs Gerber software & equipment, but I would think by now they've figured that out and have it working.
  3. ONYX - Printing multiple jobs at once separated cutcontour

I believe you can achieve this by creating a custom page/sheet size. Use the length that you'd like to stay under, then it should break it down into smaller jobs. Just make sure you're printing the barcode/cut file name because it can get messy trying to cut the correct files (if layouts are...
  4. scratch resistance between latex and UV (UCJV)

Hey Ben, We've never run latex so I don't have much to compare to, but the prints are very scratch resistant off the UCJV using LUS 170 inks. I was worried about that at first but the ink is far more durable than I expected. I've been meaning to wrap one of our walls w/ unlaminated prints from...
  5. Making a bedazzled prop?

Thanks for putting this into perspective. Found a nice stock image and some Avery sparkle laminate kicking around. Running a test print now but I think this should work great and avoids the whole glitter fiasco.
  6. Making a bedazzled prop?

Thanks Bill, just checked with our local supplier and there are indeed some glitter vinyls/laminates but nothing in stock locally. Time to head over to Michaels and get some glitter........wish me luck.
  7. Making a bedazzled prop?

Thanks Gino. Budget is not a concern, but timeline is as we're just about to shut down for the holidays. I was just thinking of using foamcore since we have a bunch in stock. It will only be handled once to assemble/install and they like foamcore for their usual props/displays. I'll see if...
  8. Making a bedazzled prop?

Also a great idea, thank you.
  9. Making a bedazzled prop?

We have some of that bling stuff lying around I'll see if we have enough! Thank you for the idea
  10. Making a bedazzled prop?

We're making a prop/photo backdrop for a NYE party, similar to the attached image found online. We're going to use foamcore w/ reinforcing on the back for the structure, but I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way of making this thing "sparkly". Is it as simple of laying down a thin...
  11. Busy December?

Hey Adam, sorry to jump in here but just curious what weaknesses you're running into with your Summa? Just can't keep up with your demand or just not what you expected? Glad to hear you're keeping busy. Cheers, Pat
  12. expiration date on inks

Do you know if this applies to the UV inks as well? (LUS170 / LUS200)
  13. Latest setup for dimensional letter installs...

That's awesome! That's a bad-ass cart you got there Moze.
  14. Setting up Illustrator

    Why do you even bother?
  15. Roland Versa Express lines

I'm no tech, but your Cyan test print looks really and you're getting some cross-contamination with Yellow ink. I'm surprised this only shows in green and blue prints. Were your test prints always this bad since it was installed? Sorry you got left with no dealer support - I hope you can get...
  16. 3M.... scratching my head on this one.

Did they only charge you for 36"? I'd say you got a good deal.... unless of course you don't have a 54" printer!
  17. Suggestions What materials are you printing directly on with a Roland SP-540 or similar

Correct. Print self-adhesive vinyl, laminate (if long term), then mount to substrate with laminator. If you're wanting to direct print to thicker materials and flat sheets you'll need a UV flatbed printer.
  18. clear vinyl on drywall

The liner is off-white. Might make weeding a bit of a challenge depending on how complex your graphic is, but it's definitely doable.
  19. clear vinyl on drywall

Can't say I've done that before but it could create a cool effect. I would also go with something like 750 clear as that's what we usually use on the Edge.
  20. In need of a local Versaworks Mentor

    Naw, I'm good.
