Man, what a mess! How many times did you have to recharge the batteries with that beast?
Love seeing your vast selection of (ahem....Dewalt) tools. Hope you're doing well.
Try going through the motions and pretending to replace the wiper, it should reset the counter/notice.
I just did this with our Mimaki since I didn't have/want to replace the wiper.
I'm also starting to get anxious about this. We're waiting for "more details" regarding when our options will be available. The (Canadian) Federal government has promised a 75% wage subsidy for companies that qualify (we do) and a $40k interest-free loan with $10k forgivable. The applications...
That's brutal if it's true. The number of healthcare workers getting tested positive is increasing at an alarming rate. Here in Winnipeg there was concerns about 1 healthcare worker then next thing you know it's almost 100 that have to self-quarantine if I remember correctly. Not saying...
I feel your pain. Rasterlink is a joke and they should be ashamed to include this "software" with their equipment. This is our first Mimaki (UCJV) and the build and print quality is very impressive, but the software and firmware side of things is horrible. They need to hire some real...
Onyx will play with Mimaki printers, but if you're messing with layered printing the drivers are not 100% compatible.
We just went through this with our new UCJV - Spent a full day with a tech here just to create a profile that was compatible to print CMYK + W. We basically had to trick it...
Do you need the marks though if you're printing/cutting in one step? I know we were told to use cropmarks when printing/cutting on our UCJV (I guess they admit they're not accurate enough without cropmarks??) but we've always printed/cut on our Rolands without cropmarks with perfect accuracy...
That sounds like a pretty sketchy issue! Have you been happy with it otherwise?
I've never been a die hard Ford fan but I'm on my 3rd F-150 (2018). The first two were absolutely bullet-proof and other than oil changes (not as often as should) and brake pads, I didn't have to fix ANYTHING over...
This is exactly what I'm worried about. But if I don't try to be proactive now the company might not be around to open up again when this is all over.
Definitely not a position I want to be in, but then again none of us want to be dealing with this nightmare.
Hope your friend is okay.
I totally feel the same way about making money off other people right now, or even when this thing is over. I'm so torn between shutting the shop down for a couple of weeks and hopefully getting a second wind or trying to push to try to keep sales coming in and the...
UV bulbs do lose curing power over time like Jun said, but I believe those Roland LEF's use LED's which last much longer.
Unless you've got thousands of hours on them already, and based on what your sales rep said, it is possible the substrate is what has changed. If nothing else has changed...
We run an Oce Arizona w/ 256 series ink, Roland XR-640 w/ Nazdar ink, and a Mimaki UCJV w/ LUS-170 ink. I think the Mimaki ink is the worst out of the bunch and I do notice having a sore throat after running solid coverage prints all day.
I've looked into standalone air scrubbers in the past...
What is this BubbleX that you guys speak of? Is it bubble wrap or an alternative to coroplast? Checked out the site and literature and still not clear what it is.
Thanks for these ideas. Definitely hard to focus and think marketing now (especially since we've never had to do any marketing before) but now is the time to keep at it.
Keep up the good work guys.
