The printer is gonna get a long break if I have a heart attack :)
I shut it down... gonna grab some dinner and call my customer. Thanks for the tips. I'll be back in a bit.
Gave it a try... unfortunately same results.
I don't get it... I didn't change anything... it just started fading to purple. I just reprinted my original small scale test... and it's purple too! Take a look.
I'm printing three 30x90 panels on Oracal 3651 Matte to be mounted to polystyrene for a pop-up trade show display. It's a last minute job that is due tonight! Everything was going fine as usual. I printed a small scale test to make sure my colors were good. It looked great.
So I ripped the...
Push the carriages back together and restart the printer. That happened to me once when the carriage got caught up on some vinyl that peeled from the backing.
It might be cost effective to send your own art files to Signs365 and order a minimum of 10 double sided 18x24 coro signs that you could then cut into 6x24's yourself. The advantage here is you can do full color layouts and add some pop to your riders. At a cost of $50 per 10 18x24, you're...
I think it's pretty obvious I was talking to you isign. In fact, any of you who had to stop and think about whether you've flamed a newbie or not, I was probably talking to you too. My post was pretty clear isign. You're the only tool who apparently didn't get it.
I don't proclaim to be...
If you boil it down, I guess the point I'd like to get across is that you guys have no right and no real business to tell the $750 guy how to raise his son or how to start a business. If he wants to put up $750 to try and start a business with his son, that's his challenge. When he makes the...
Fred, I think you really need to consider a name change for this site. It really is misleading... especially considering the new direction you are trying to take things.
I agree with onesmf completely. I read through the thread about the $750 budget and was nauseated at most of the...

Are You Laminating And Then Reloading The Vinyl To Register And Cut? Or Are You Printing/cutting At The Same Time??
If You Are Laminating And Reloading I Have Some Suggestions That Will Help.
That's like saying Coke and Pepsi are the same thing if you are not being real picky. In reality, other than the fact that they are both soft drinks, they are completely different.
I guess I should clarify... I have no problems laminating at all. It works like a charm every time. I only run into problems when I'm mounting to a substrate.
I have only mounted on coroplast so far. Haven't tried anything thicker. With the table up or locked down it trips the sensor every single time at least once. Usually it won't start back up until I either turn off the laminator or switch to slow mode. I've resorted to mounting in slow mode now...
Anyone know if it's possible to disable the optical safety sensor on the the Seal 54 Base laminator? If so, how?? I love my laminator, but that thing is a major nuisance. I find myself having to mount vinyl in slow mode because it's nearly impossible to do in normal mode without the sensor...
