New head
That head is not an ink flow issue, it is deflecting. try pushing cleaning fluid through it from the manifold.
If that fails I have heads at
www.solventinkjet.com
cap top
I vote for a new cap top, megenta is on the outside channel of that head so a bad cap will be noticed there first.
i have then in stock

Cap tops
Try using the new solvent cap station developed by Mutoh for the falcon series. they have a wire mesh in them to prevent the sponge from touching the head and causing them to drain. they will work in the sc and cj series Rolands
i have them on my site www.solventinkjet.com
Mutoh is taking in their old printers and offering up to 7000.00 off the new ValueJets. They have also started up their own finance division that makes getting approved for a lease easier then it was in the past.
pm me if you would like more info
Dampers
dampers have a very thin sidwall that can get pin hole leaks in them. Rather then leak, they often allow air in. Once this happens ink will not be drawn in from the ink lines
I have them if you need some www.solventinkjet.com
Falcon
If you have a Falcon, check the capping station, the sponges in there may be touching the head and causing it to draw down ink via a siphon effect
