  1. Suggestions Acm...........................

Assuming a typical 1/8" ACM with 0.012" skins, each skin is 3 times the thickness of a beer can and the aluminum accounts for around 43% of the total weight. So, there might be as much as 645 lbs of aluminum in Gino's 1500 lbs of scrap. If it's cheap ACM with thinner skins, it would still be...
  2. Is Instant One Media The Only Seller That Offers Economical Cast Print Vinyl?

General Formulations - Concept® 230 AutoMark™ Wrap Vinyl Price point is probably around $350 for a 54"x150' roll. Edit: this one is calendered, but it's conformable enough for wrapping vehicles.

  4. Anyone print outdoor chain link fence cover with Ivy - shrubbery graphics 10-15-20ft

Buy a high-res stock photo of shrubbery, follow a Photoshop tutorial to convert it into a seamless texture, then scale it to life size and print it.
  5. How much does a logo need to be changed to use

Haha good point. That completely negates my previous response. It isn't trademarked but there is a pending application. Trademark Status & Document Retrieval
  6. How much does a logo need to be changed to use

This is an issue of trademark, not copyright. What you've described is how copyrights work, i.e. you're infringing if you use any part of a copyrighted work (fair use exemptions notwithstanding), because derivative works are not allowed. With trademarks, it is possible to use recognizable...
  7. How to achieve this shadow in illustrator

When you paste a vector into Photoshop as a smart object, Photoshop essentially sees it as a raster layer, so it will be pixellated when you zoom in, if your resolution isn't high enough. When you edit the contents of the smart object, it will open in Illustrator as a vector and then when you...
  8. How to achieve this shadow in illustrator

No, that's a raster effect. No, that's a raster effect. Yes there is—gradient with transparency—although OP is trying to avoid transparency, so that might not work anyway.
  9. Suggestions Customer is asking for specific paint before installing wall material

Here's a bulletin from Avery that goes into great detail about what types of paint to use before installing wall film...
  10. It happened . . .

Not sure what printer you're running, but I seem to recall having this issue crop up once or twice before on our Roland. I think it was a problem with the file because we eventually fixed it by exporting a new production file and re-ripping.
  11. Questions regarding cutting order and job spacing

I don't think Versaworks has a setting for this.
  12. How to achieve this shadow in illustrator

You can apply a gradient to a stroke in Illustrator.
  13. font has me stumped

Found it. It's the Latin set from the MN series that's preinstalled on Mac computers for foreign character sets. Malayalam MN, Tamil MN, Gurmukhi MN, Kannada MN, Khmer MN, Lao MN, Myanmar MN, Oriya MN, Sinhala MN, Telugu MN, etc. Edit: I don't think there's a legitimate source for Windows, but...
  14. font has me stumped

Getting close. You were on the right track with Times Sans. Here's a font that's in development that's even closer to your sample. Production Type — Columbia Collection
  15. font has me stumped

Can we see the other sample from the 2nd job?
  16. Window Perf Cracking?

We had the same wrinkling problem as you when we accidentally used optically clear calendered laminate. I wouldn't expect any cast vinyl to crack like that (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so I'd probably assume the "cast" vinyl didn't come from a major brand.
  17. Help with illustrator new file and raster settings

I usually design in 72 because 150/300 can cause a lot of waiting time if you're designing in full scale. Then I change it to a higher setting when I'm ready to export for printing.
  18. Illustrator and photoshop not printing same blue.

Yes it's there in Acrobat and Illustrator, and Acrobat identifies the spot colour in pre-flight. One potential problem I see when I open it in Illustrator is that the CMYK layer (with no transparency) appears to be on top of the spot colour layer, effectively covering it up so you can't see it...
  19. Illustrator and photoshop not printing same blue.

Yes, but as far as I can tell, the spot colours in the artwork have to be vector. I managed to get Versaworks to recognise a Pantone colour in a PDF from Photoshop this morning, but it doesn't recognise the artwork in the single-colour raster layer - it just shows up as white in the preview window.
