  1. Need Help Considering HP Latex 115 P&C - some questions/concerns before I pull the trigger

I have sold Eco-Solvent-Printers for a long time, and have switched by start working for a HP dealer. One of my first clients in 2012 was someone where I have tried to sell a Roland for years, but he told me permanently that Eco-Solvent-Prints washes out too fast. After testing heat transfers on...
  2. Need Help Considering HP Latex 115 P&C - some questions/concerns before I pull the trigger

Grainy prints results often from wrong feed adjustment. While this would be no problem with the OMAS-machines (except with some media), the machines without OMAS (110/115, 310, 330) can run into that problem easily (this machines needs to be calibrated manually). While a lot of printers get...
  3. SumaCut D140FX

I haven‘t heard about a 140FX with LAN, and regularly (as a Summa Dealer) I should have this information. But could be that I have missed something. The OEM HP Latex Basic Cutter is a 140FX with LAN, but I wouldn‘t buy that OEM machine separately (some dealers have bought the bundles and sold...
  4. SumaCut D140FX

The regular 140 have a network port and is more variable with usable media widths (FX works with a few fixed media widths only, the R with variable media widths). According to the fact that a summa cutter could last 10 years or more, you should think over to buy the „regular“ one, it will not...
  5. How can I fool Flexi to cut less printed graphics than the file had

Do you have a Summa-Plotter and use OPOS X? S-Classes and SummaCut-R have the possibility to panel contour jobs. What means: instead of scanning all markers of a job at the beginning, it will scan the first four markers only, will cut everything between them, read markers 5 and 6 and will cut...
  6. Summa Cut D140 vs D140RL vs D140FX

    You‘re welcome.
  7. Summa Cut D140 vs D140RL vs D140FX

I don‘t know the prices in the US, I‘m from europe. But in europe the price of a Latex 115 with a separate D140R and a print & cut rip is very near to a 315 print & cut bundle as far as I remember. And you should consider that if buying a print & cut bundle, a Flexisign-Pro (Since v12 =...
  8. Summa Cut D140 vs D140RL vs D140FX

The barcode is not hardware-based, it is generated by the RIP-Software. And most RIP-Softwares (current versions of Flexi, Caldera, Onyx for example) are supporting the Summa and the HP with their specialties. But, by the way: contour cutting is possible too without barcode. It is just a feature...
  9. Summa Cut D140 vs D140RL vs D140FX

Since summer last year, all SummaCUT-Models except the 60s and the FX-Models are equipped with a LAN-Interface (10/100BaseT, no serial interface anymore). This models are the RL-Models (L stands for LAN). You can't buy these models without LAN-Interface anymore. The HP Latex Cutters are...
  10. Need Help Flexi 10 settings

Are the files been illustrator-files too? I dont think so. The symptoms you describe are typical for special file types.
  11. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

You can use a basic rip from another vendor and continue using Signlab as your daily design program. Could be too that Cadlink have compatible drivers, but haven‘t let them certified intil now. But: the main use of a printer is to print. A decision for a printer should be made on base of the...
  12. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

I do Flexi support and user training for more than 20 years. There is a file with the name „cut contour test“ in the postscript sample folder in the Flexi application folder, try it. As soon as adding a job like this with a valid cutting path to a queue in production manager, you will have...
  13. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

Every RIP Vendor could let HP certify their RIP-Products for HP-printers ... of course if their drivers match the HP specifications. It looks like that Cadlink don't have working drivers for that printers.
  14. Onyx multiple pages distance

What cutter do you use? Woth a Simma, for example, there is no need to generate multiple jobs to increase accuracy, it have a panelling-functionality who do that work for you.
  15. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

Not true. It is possible to prepare jobs too in Illustrator, CorelDraw and so on to be processed in the Flexi-RIP as Print and Cut without processing them through Flexi Editor. It is the same like doing it for Onyx: preparing paths with a spot colour named "CutContour", "CutContour1" and so on...
  16. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

I do Onyx-Sales and Support too, but would never state that Onyx is „the easiest to use“.
  17. Question VersaWorks with SP-540V

Independently of what ink you are using, the printer is configured to Eco-Sol or Max-ink. The SP540v doesn‘t read the chips om the cartridges. The profiles you download need to match the ink type set in the printer. You can see the ink type on the printer display when booting up.
  18. Question VersaWorks with SP-540V

Browse the printer menu to "Full width scan" ... switch to "off", and the printer will move the print head over the printed area only. There are different ink types available for the printer: when the printer enters the market, there were the standard Eco-Sol-Ink available, a little bit later...
  19. Imageclub10!!!!!!!!!!!!

The image database is driven by a british company named Ingram Publishing (www.signelements.com). They are in selling of royalty free images and vectors since a long time (even graphics which are cuttable), I still have some CD-Collections from them which are more than 15 years old. As far as I...
  20. Is Flexi the only RIP for HP Printers?

There are several certified RIP's, Signlab isn't one of them. And there are some available special HP Editions of Flexi-Software with additional functionality. The HP FlexiPRINT Basic Edition for example (delivered with print-only 115, 315, 335, no contour cutting, no design) can't do contour...
