I am a little late to this, but, same issue tonight myself. I ran out of yellow and put more ink in. Nothing. Then came subtank issue. Thank you for posting the pics. I saw the same thing. No ink flowing. But all I did was use a paperclip to push out dry ink & bang. Printing again. Oh...
As far as the lam on perf. 98% of my orders go on commercial window property, so it doesn't matter if it rains. But HELL Yeah about the perf of back of vehicles. You can't see &(it!

Curious to why you apply laminate to perf. I have done many orders and not once have I laminated them. I still have lots orders that have been up since 2012. The repeat business of those windows have been very few. Colors have faded, but it's been a long time. The only issues I have is the...
If you see my operation, it shows how many sub contractors screw things up whether materials or time. So feel your pain! The worst part is not only that they screwed you but the relationship you will have in the future with this client. Stay strong!

As far back as I could remember. John Giles was a consultant in Quick Print magazine, saying how the graphics dept. is a black hole. I treat it as a black hole(OIL) myself. As soon as I see a project I tell them its going to cost you X amount. I love when I hear can you do it for less? Ah...
I love your arsenal of equipment. My employees would love a CWT 9' for our place but just dropped $11K for new 6/6 Screen press. But if you are doing an excess pf mounting. Direct is best. Can't recommend the type that would work best for you. But keep us in the loop.

I've been in the print industry since 76' 15 years in the sign business. After doing retail since 85' I've learned how to weed out these types 90% of the times. They all seem to have similar verbiage, to the point that I already target my pricing. And since my pricing is visually positioned...
Gino that is a rough call. We all have a few of those & I have mouth off plenty of times how F'd up they are to ruin our schedule but complain that we are not on time. My take would be to get mad enough and just deal with their unprofessional dealings.

Another recommendation : )
Having issues trying to get a good nozzle check, but cyan is all crap. I just finished pulling the lines with syringes and the lines are not clogged but Noz check still bad on cyan. Have head resting on gauge with cleaner. Any ideas?
: ) Great analogy!
I charge 48" x 72" $136 to print $42.00 to mount Full sheet $178 to print $46.00 to mount
There is plenty of $$ to just throw out waste.
When you overlap apply 2 sided tape between the seams, this will help some of the shrinkage problem it may have with the heat from the sun. It will look cleaner also.
We have done plenty of perf'd graphics on store fronts. What we have learned is to always use double sided tape (banner tape) in all corners. On our own we pass by all our windows that we have done in the past even over a year, and if we see edges peeling back we carry tape and cleaning...
