There was one called "onyx talk" was alright, got quiet after a few years. i think it was ran by an ex employee... i forget now. A few of us from there are here though
Basically top spec which is pretty cool.
But honestly, how portable is it? you need to carry 2x power bricks with you. And it’s not a light machine.
I feel like if you carry to and from work, you’re better off taking a miniITX machine around and leave a monitor where ever you use it.
What spec is yours? I feel like desktop grade components in a laptop is not worth it a lot of the time.
Mobile 6-8 core CPUs are pretty insane. And mobile GPUS like the 2070-2080max-q more than enough for most graphic intensive work.
I will never understand peoples fascination with gaming laptops for business. Especially in the graphic industry where gaming laptops are only 1080p and just passes sRGB where all creator laptops with 4k displays are very near or passing adobe RGB.
Sorry to hear about the hospital stay! hope you're well mate.
Look i like the Dell XPS series laptops. i dont think i'd own one again for myself, but i would time over time suggest one to others. we'll be upgrading out office to dell XPS laptops hopefully by the end of the year.
Yes them going...
I have got onyx to produce some amazing colours. I'll even say that i got it to produce a better output than i1 profiler does.
It was a tedious process, and even though it did such a good job, when it came to do it on another media, it felt like starting from scratch.
how much media and time...
no they have not.
And there's more than just "gaming laptops" for power.
MSI creator
Asus zenbook & art series
Gigabyte Aero.
Razer blade studio, pro & 15. as they all have 4k screens.
All these are "content creation" laptops. they all have the top spec i7 or i9 CPUs 16gb or more of ram...
While the DELL XPS line are great thin & light laptops (i own one myself and love them)
There are better laptops for content creating out there.
MSI & Asus & Gigabyte.
Also went you the one telling me there's no point in an i9 in nothing but the thickest laptops?
that i7-10875H is basically...
Generally speaking, All RIPS should have the following workflow in one shape or form
Ink restrictions > Linearisation > ICC profile generation.
depending on the RIP, those steps can be very simple/automated or have adjustment features.
For example this is the workflow in onyx (which is...
Printer profiling is a step by step process.
Ink restrictions > Ink linearisation > ink limits > ICC profile.
with in each step, there's a lot of variables that can change the colour gamut size and the accuracy of the profile.
ONYX has a very powerful set of tools to make adjustments in each...
That's odd, i havent used that RIP before but im sure there should be away not to use ICC profiles or turn it off. unless you can make custom spot colours
