  3. Business Card face lift

seriously? you attack Jill, a well respected long time sign maker who only tried to give you the feed back you asked for. that was uncalled for and unprofessional. enjoy your new card
  4. Business Card face lift

most were doing their best to give you what you asked for and that was what are our thoughts on your card. the verbage is part of that so asking about pural vs singular was a valid question. all the rest were valid opinions too. none of like words spelled funky like Graphix or Xtreme and it...
  5. Whats your favorite weeding tool?

I too am a #16 only user. for me I like to hold the x-acto low down near the blade so I have more control and with a #11 I'd slice my fingers. the #16 has a little finger rest area
  6. Business Card face lift

pretty much what I said. your logo is the focal point so don't weaken that with the sub text/services in the same script font used in the logo. a sans serif would help keep the focus on the company name
  7. Business card

he is using his card as a mini boucher and that be done but get rid of all the borders and graphics. I hate a list of services that are written all bunched together, centered and defined with commas. just do a list with bullets as it reads better. cards can be printed in landscape or...
  8. Business Card face lift

the company name has a lot going on in it and is a focal point. I wouldn't use that script for the products, I'd keep that with a simple clean sans serif as it is way too much with the company name and looks over done and it takes away from the focal point.
  9. Whats your favorite weeding tool?

    X-acto with a #16 blade.
  10. 6 - 7 Ft. Dimensional Letters

for that size you could do a thin profile channel letter, all aluminum, non-illuminated, as it would be more stable to work with.
  11. Logo for a multi purpose business

it is confusing but tht isn't your fault, it is a jumble of services. if the primary is building then maybe split it so the builder part is the focus and then have the other services. does he do any kind of ads? it would help if he did as he could explain all this in a print ad but not so...
  12. Old vs. new

how are they using this logo? mostly letterheads and business cards or signs? the old logo with the light colors feels more high end but would be a pain on a sign as it is so long and very little contrast but would look good for paper uses. the new one is way to bright for this type of...
  13. CheRRyMan Logo

sorry if this hurts your feelings but that is pretty awful looking. the backwards "R" the the strange letter "C" that you share with two different words makes reading this all most impossible. the color is OK but past that, it is pretty bad. what bothers me is that you don't see that
  14. Friends with other sign shops, why the problem

we have a long standing friendship with another local company as most of ours jobs types don't cross over and we use each other to get those areas done. past that, I can't see an advantage to hanging out with other shops. I do refer people to other shops as we don't do wraps and there is a...
  15. What makes your shop FUN?

you might want to seek professional help as most serial killers start enjoying this kind of thing.
  16. April Fools?

it looks like a used set that that they are re-using for anotehr site and were just too lazy to take out the studs
  17. Re-creating Logos

most of the time customers will only send what they can see so they send the crappy jpegs and such. I ask them to send evey file they have and I'll look thru them as it isn't up to them to know the difference between rasters and vectors. usually find what I am looking for
  18. Logo help also

I hate that people feel they have to have a pictorial of some kind on a sign. this isn't the 1800's when people couldn't read so they would put a big tooth, key or whatever so people got it. this isn't a place to stop in to see what the company is about, it is a place people go when they have...
  19. To meat or not to meat, that is the question.

"some hillbilly name bob" I have heard bob called a lot of things but this is the first time for hillbilly. thanks for the laugh, I nearly choked on my sodium rich diet Pepsi! I think we all know Americans eat a lot foods that aren't good for them. anyone making a choice in any direction...
