Great photo! I am intrigued by the "writer" style too... seemed to be very ahead of his time!

I am a good sign designer. I can make a pretty durn good 10 minute layout that'll best my competitors 2 hour sketch. Anything beyond that, marginal at best. I am not a great high end logo designer so that is what I am working my hardest at perfecting. I can't lay out copy if my life depended...

good post I STRONGLY disagree. It is a weak design program, if not just mostly because of it's lack of good text editing tools. What if you want to arch your text? How many steps would that take? Kern them? Adjust the curve on the swoop of an S to make a logo???

Really? for a sign designer? I haven't even opened Photoshop in over a month, I find it pretty useless for daily sign designing, I'd think getting a grasp on vector programs would be a better next step. JMO.

Hey everyone, I have this rather ugly font that I can't seem to place... any suggestions on it's name?

To be honest... I'd think of something else. I've seen this done before more than once, and even another local shop here did an effect like that. It's been done a few times over and it's really not that attractive.

Not everyone is worth $130 for a pair of magnets... just sayin.... you kinda made yourself the low price leader/ el cheapo shop right there. Which equals, lack of respect.

Question is are you ready to devote thousands of dollars and a lot of effort into them or just want to take them on as a side gig. Because it's really not an industry you can just take on as a side gig... you gotta give it your all to do it RIGHT. Meaning the right materials, laid out right...
