We often get asked if the shirt can be tried on for size and we let them use the restroom to change in.
So this woman comes in and wants to make sure the size is right, asks if she can try it on, yes you can and before she can be directed to the 'changing room' she removes her shirt and tries...
We prefer using wholesale to the trade only vendors unless they are not near us or if they offer something we don't. In those cases we can often do a markup that gives us profitability without competing in the same pool.
Last minute orders are SOP around here. Everything is an emergency and everything is last minute. Before you jump on me over this, I would say that is how we roll. Always on the edge and we never stop closing sales even if we have no idea of how we would cover it when we take the order.
we use 60 degree blades with the already backed twill from twill usa and just have no real luck with it. I am thinking of trying it again though since we are doing a lot of it now.
Thanks, I don't have a laser and don't like the quality of the cutter on twill so I sew an outline and cut by hand. If I am doing enough of them I send it to Dalco for cutting.
Your budget means nothing as you can pay for the cutter in a single job. The materials to do the job will cost you more than the machine ever will. Given all of that and assuming you can manage the software part of the biz, if you get a good deal on a cutter and can use it to buy up, then do it...
