The only time translucent is translucent is when the light on one side of it is brighter than the ambient light on the other side. I use odds and ends of translucent vinyl just like opaque vinyl [which may or may not be opaque] and have never experienced a problem. The biggest difference is that...
Toss it in the trash. It goes into a landfill, which eventually becomes trees, which eventually get made into more backing paper. Thus recycled.
It really doesn't matter what you do with it [or anything else], whatever you do will have absolutely no effect on anything.
Not sure this is possible with Flexi. Flexi's bitmap handling capabilities are rather primitive which includes the inability to do gradient transparencies among other things.
Create your image elsewhere, flatten it into a bitmap, and then import it into Flexi. Keep in mind that Flexi doesn't...
There is no 'Desecration Statute'.
There is, however, the 1st amendment to the Constitution of the USofA, which is article one of the Bill of Rights, which unequivocally states that there can never be any sort of 'Desecration Statute'. If the local rustics there in your village have taken it...
Exactly. The formula I have used for years is: (MAX-MIN)+(AREA*MIN)+MATERIAL Where MAX is the most you would charge psf for a single foot^2 or less, MIN is the minimum you would charge regardless of size, AREA is the integer number of foot^2 with which you are dealing, and MATERIAL is your fully...
What, exactly, are you worried about here? Black helicopters, guys sliding down ropes, kicking your door open, and hosing down your shop with automatic weapon fire?
Just print it. Client's copy, client's problem.
Construct some sort of bizarre wallpaper using the logo, print a couple of acres of it, and wrap the truck[s] with it. Perhaps something like this quickie with a step and repeat in all directions.
I you have to cut them yourself, a Cutawl is the sovereign tool. That's what they're made for but not cheap and not sold on every street corner. They've been making essentially the same tool for a 100 years or so, I have no idea as to why they're so pricey.. Once you use a Cutawl, you'll never...
Did you miss the part about the sheet of 3/4 MDO screwed to the top? The banquet table, commercial grade with particle board top not plastic, is there to provide legs and a surface to attach the MDO. If the MDO is screwed on from the bottom with screws every 12"-18" the table top is functionally...
Leafs on the ends? One of those things that sound like a good idea but after the novelty wears off, in maybe 5 minutes, they'll either be always up or always down.
Wheels? Anything sufficiently heavy as to require wheels to be moved is questionable. But if you must have them, make damn sure...
Twaddle. Those who own the copy bear sole responsibility for its content. It's not a question of skill level, it has to do with propriety.
I make signs. The client is responsible for what it says and I am responsible for how it says it. A line that I do not cross nor do I permit my clients to...
The concept of grammar doesn't seem to apply to semi-literate 'g' dropping and apostrophe substituting colloquialisms. This 'JEEPN' abomination is a good example why sign makers should never write copy. The client always writes the copy,. Always.
Bubbles are virtually always the result of improper squeegee technique. Including Coroplast. Wet or dry although, other than specific circumstances, there is no real reason to apply wet.
The fundamental squeegee principle is to never squeegee over unplowed ground. In or words, you always...
From corner to corner. The registration mark exists so that the plotter can detect the corner. Use Flexi's measurement tool to measure the X distance between the vertical bars and the Y distance between the horizontal bars. Make sure that the registration marks are aligned such that they form a...
You're doing at least one thing wrong but even if you did it right it probably wouldn't matter. While there are special cases, generally it's difficult, if not impossible, to contour cut something that wasn't printed by the same software that's doing the cutting.
A better, and a whole hell...
The background, while certainly annoying, isn't the main concern. It's the rather amateur layout and equally dubious typography.
Try again. This time try to somehow tie everything together as well as better typography than that usually seen in a high school newsletter.
Change your name. You have a name that no one has ever before encountered. That being the case and along with the fact that words are seldom actually read, merely seen and interpreted, replacing 'Reaktor' with 'Reactor' is going to happen no matter how you spell it out for people. Worse, you add...
There is no standard for transparencies, each software package pretty much rolls their own and may or in most cases may not recognize another package's transparency when importing a file. Flexi might support .gif transparencies. And then again, it might not. Try it.
Sort of. Most likely what you're referring to is known in the trade as 'Ribbons of white.' When you look at a page, not reading it, just looking at it, you don't want to see a 'ribbon of white' winding its way down the page. A journeyman typesetter would pull a proof and check for this sort of...
