Maybe go to a dealer and have some samples printed on a demo machine. Wholesale printers are usually geared for speed, not quality.

Anyone done large jobs d/sided on banner on a 360? The few times I've done small jobs it worked but was a bit tedious. Talking 10 full 50m rolls. Each banner 2m long.

Possibly although I'm just trying to use Cut Server to generate the file for Summa Cutter Control to scan and cut. It does read the barcode but says the file number xxxx is missing. I tried renaming the file and it just scans but cuts crazy lines. Probably need my supplier to contact Onyx.

We also print on 80gsm bond on the 25500. Just a note - the 360s don't print on uncoated paper as well as the 25500.

We kept one of our old latex 25500s mainly to print posters on cheap uncoated stock. They do a better job of it than even the 360s. We use 200gsm uncoated paper and it even does a reasonable job on 80gm bond paper. You'd need a RIP though.

Thanks for the reply and offer of PDF Frank but Ich verstehe nicht Deutsch, sorry. The cutter scans the barcode but returns the error I mentioned so I don't think position of the head is the problem. I'll change the media calibration to see if that changes things.

Yep the files show in Barcode Server. I start the barcode reader from Summa cutter control and it looks for the barcode but just errors out. I'm sure it's just something simple, like these things usually are.
