  1. Production process shortcut

A table at the right height at the back of the laminator or tape onto the takeup reel.
  2. Bordeaux ink

I used Bordeaux in Rolands for years without an issue. The thing that convinced me was the supplier said they'd warrant them including heads. If you leave any solvent printer sitting for too long it will gum the heads up.
  3. 5 years down...

Congrats! It's a great feeling isn't it? You've seen this but posting for all to see from an old mate.
  4. Hi from Australia!

You're probably right Jason. How's tricks anyway? Keeping all that nice hardware running hot? I'm looking at a Zund table now myself.
  5. Hi from Australia!

Gday. Who are you working for?
  6. Your thoughts on unconventional yard sign production...

We have a regular order of 80 a month. We print on cheap vinyl with latex, mount, trim and send to 10 different locations in about half a day. They are at least double the price what flatbed would be but the client likes our fast turnaround and reliable delivery. We would never get them out...
  7. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a HP 335

If you do many posters you might want to think about hanging onto the 25500. The 300 series printers only really print well on coated papers. We have 360s and they are great - we use the profiling/linearisation feature a lot.
  8. Fuji Acuity LED 1600 II vs Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH vs Roland LEJ-640

The Mimaki jfx200 is getting some good reviews around the place.

My PC keeps downloading porn. Fred?
  10. Avery MPI1005 EZ RS +DOL1360 vs 3M 180CV3 + 8518

We use 1105 and have been liking it. Prints great in our 360s.
  11. HP 360 - Trouble Printing on HP Poster Paper

    You're doing something wrong.
  12. Summa S2T 140 consistently poor print/cut

That must be disappointing to say the least. The S2T is a great cutter. I can't really tell the issue from the image but we sometimes had a problem with files cutting on our Summacut. The cuts would bow upwards towards the centre. I tried several things, not sure what the problem was but it...
  13. New S160T - won't play with Onyx

That camera is crazy fast. If you do a lot of print/cut work it should save a ton of time. Being a USB device it won't work through ethernet though.
  14. New S160T - won't play with Onyx

Just an update on this. There are 2 versions of Summa's Cutter Control app, 4 and 5. It turns out the S class 2 cutters don't work in 4, but the Summacut does. So it's now working great, apart from cutting directly out of Onyx Cut Server. Once I changed the directory for Barcode Server from...
  15. HP 2600 latex printing on clear for opal acrylic faced light box sign cabinet

There should be a backlit film setting which puts down a load more ink. In Onyx for my 25500 there's a Kodak Universal Backlit media.
  16. Avery 1105/1360z + HP360 Latex ink = FAIL!

Strange. We're loving it although they brought it out with the 6460 lam here and is the same price as 1005/1460 was. Haven't noticed whitening from stretching either.
  17. Taking on larger jobs

Just keep telling yourself it's good to be busy.
  18. Summa T 160 Blade scratching while moving across vinyl

Haha awesome thanks for the tip.. just had to do this on our new 160T. Gotta love dropping 20k on a new bit of gear and having to hack with masking tape.
