I hear ya. Most times I just tell people we don't install anything we don't supply, just to avoid this kind of thing. Also sometimes accidents happen - then how do you reprint or re cut the job?

You could probably have been a bit more diplomatic. I wouldn't have told him he got ripped off, maybe just said that's not a very long term solution and would have suggested a better quality product. Just warn him about expected lifespan and either do it or not. Sounds like he got offended...

In fact there is a fix - they have a new product - MPI 1105 Easy Apply RS™ cast film and DOL 6460 Premium High Gloss overlaminate. Haven't used any yet but this is meant to print well on latex machines and have increased durability including horizontal surfaces...

The ink was cured fine. Clear Focus Promovue.

Anyone else having issues with ink covering the holes in perf? Mainly the darker areas of print, and worse when I increase density as you do on this stuff. Using the canned HP One-View Perf profile. Funnily enough doesn't happen on the 25500 so I suspect it's to do with the optimiser.

They look awesome. HP really put some money into product development. We'll stick with our 360s for now though.

We ran Rolands with Onyx for years. If your version supports profile creation the best thing you can do is buy a spectro and make your own profiles.

Screwing around with OS's? Please. The Win 10 upgrade was free, updates itself and just lets me get on with business. As for ransomware, keep regular offsite backups, a good anti virus program and do your dodgy personal browsing/downloading on a separate network.

Summa cutters print a bar across the front edge which it reads to compensate for the bowing.

A bit off topic but Avery are bringing out a new wrap vinyl with a non pvc lam shortly. Not too sure of the details but we played with it a bit at a workshop last week. Only needs to be post heated to 70 deg C, better printability with latex.

Some new vehicles have a coating that vinyl won't stick to. In that case we use this.
