  1. re: branding companies and ad agencys

They're basically brokers. Same as real estate agents, they broker a deal for large sums of money. I just bought a house the other day, no real estate broker on either side. Smooth as silk. We used an attorney to close the deal. His fee was $700. Good for the homeowner, good for me. If sign...

GAC05, are you out there? Everybody OK?
  3. Vinyl on Corrugated Metal Building Peeling/Shrinking

A picture is worth a thousand words. Thats wild stuff there. They may have to go with a 4' X 4' sign mounted to the building. Better for you, probably better for them.
  4. New Product OK Used Cars Restoration Part 3

Ka-Razy sweet. Really nice. You guys do some good work. That sign brings back a lot of memories. Of course the process was quick, right, I saw the Road Runner there helping. Beep Beep
  5. Pulling the trigger on a printer? When is the right time?

Here's a crazy idea. Figure out the cost of the printer you really need and the price of the laminator too. If you are doing that much gross business in 3 months, then it might be time to get the equipment. Example: I want to buy a $60,000 Colorado printer. If I'm averaging $60,000/month for 3...
  6. How to get rid of dust on my prints ???

Is it lint from the cotton shirts you are working with? The clothing that comes with the screen printing and embroidery business is full of lint and dust. Not good to mix the 2 industries in the same room/area.
  7. ? printing direct on magnetics

OK, just saw your .030 label. Interesting....... We usually print to vinyl and then apply. :thumb:
  8. ? printing direct on magnetics

Joseph, Thanks for the info. BTW. it looks like your printing .020 thickness based on the label from your screen shot. Do you also print direct to .030? That's obviously 50% thicker and closer to the print head. That might present a problem. BTW, that Graphtec cutter you have is old style...
  9. ecosol max 2 ink in sp300v

So go ahead and try it then. If the machine goes down, send the service tech invoice to Terry01. :roflmao:
  10. ecosol max 2 ink in sp300v

Don't do that, I'm pretty sure it wont work well. Eco-Sol Max2 ink came out probably 12 years after your printer. Your printer, software, and print heads are not engineered to Max2 inks. Someone might prove me wrong, but that's how I understand the ink situation. Why would you want to anyway...
  11. OK, now what

    And your question is......what again?
  12. Versacamm SP-300i - ink drops on print?

Take a look at this Magenta print head (see pic) we replaced on our VP-300i about 6 weeks ago. Zoom in. We were getting red drops on our prints as well. We changed wipers, did manual cleanings, etc. It would clear up only temporarily, but come back after 10 minutes or so, especially if there was...

Hey SLShop, keep that language off the site. This is a family forum.
  14. Feed Motor error 0008

A lot of the old Roland's have a friction brake on the back spindle. The brake has a little piece of felt on it to regulate the movement of the axle that the hubs are riding on. You can flip that brake up and off the spindle. That will allow the vinyl to spin VERY easily. I never do it because...
  15. 2023: A Century of Neon in America

Very cool for sure, but a little fragile. Easily damaged.
  16. Need recommendation for entry level flatbed cutter

Take a look at this Cmykengineering.com Flatbed cutters I know nothing about the company or the machine but it looked good when I first saw it some time ago. Ask them if they have any machines installed near you. If you buy one let us know how it works.
  17. Shipping Boxes

OK, here's one for you, I ordered (100) 9 X 12 manila envelopes from Staples yesterday. They were delivered today in a Priority USPS box, from Jam paper in NJ. Funny thing, they were delivered by UPS. Staples vendor, Jam Paper isn't even turning the boxes inside out, they are just using Post...

  19. Custom Large Murals

Seems like these types of murals are custom made for the Colorado 1650 printers. They are pretty cool. They are wall paper machines and are marketed as such. (Is saying 'as such' too bombastic? Should I have said 'that way' instead) o_O
